When Blink-182 reunited in 2009 , most assumed that Plus 44 was done. Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 is featured in a new installment of 5 Second Films , entitled "Time Travel Phone." The site, launched in 2005, hosts a number of incredibly short films with three simple rues: 2 seconds of beginning titles, 5 seconds of film, 1 second of closing titles. According to the film's description: "Seeing as how each phone call sets you back $15,000, Mark has reason to be angry with his past self. Sadly, the anger creates a cycle of phone bills that can seemingly never be broken."

Mark Hoppus spoke to NME about some of the plans for the upcoming year for Blink-182 . Hoppus said this: Early next week I go back to Los Angeles to record an iTunes session for Blink-182, and we're starting to write the new record right now. We're going to tour Australia in February with Blink… [so the] proper tour and the new album probably won't happen for about a year." They released Neighborhoods in 2011. Those Australian dates kick off February 20th.

Owl City’s 2012 effort, The Midsummer Station , picks up where the band left off on its previous LP’s: interweaving nauseatingly saccharine emo pop with nauseatingly saccharine electro-pop. The main difference on this album as opposed to say, 2009’s breakout, Ocean Eyes , is the rise of thumping techno beats. Don’t worry, it doesn’t make the music any more digestible. Pop/electronica outfit Owl City, aka Adam Young, just put out his fourth record The Midsummer Station on August 21st, an appropriate near-end of summer release.  This is the guy who brought you the quadruple platinum single "Fireflies" from the record Ocean Eyes in 2009.  His latest is expectedly synth and percussion-forward, as per this songwriter and multi-instrumentalist’s usual scheme.  It conveys overarchingly upbeat insights, and more than invites some dancing of the teenage variety.  It even includes texturally-dirty, techno-inspired synth riffs and splice action, as in "Bombshell Blonde", perhaps the album's most instrumentally interesting track.  The [...]

Blink-182 have been forced to cancel their show tonight in London, England at the O2 Brixton Academy due to Mark Hoppus being diagnosed with bronchitis, laryngitis and sinusitis. The promoters have announced that the show will not be rescheduled and customers are advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund.

BBC Radio's Zane Lowe recently spoke with Blink 182 's Mark Hoppus about the band's future and their current approach to making music and playing shows. Blink 182 recently kicked off a European tour that will see them touring the continent through the end of July.

Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 and Fuse's Hoppus on Music has posted a 90 minute teaser for a workout video. Whether it's a real product or just a tease for Mark's show is an exercise best left to the reader. On the other hand, Mark's bandmate Tom Delonge has become incredibly good at lateral raises as evidenced by this .

Blink 182 's Mark Hoppus has expressed his support for the UK's National Health Service, and has advocated the USA adopting a similar system. In a recent interview with BBC Radio Five Live Hoppus detailed his admiration for the NHS, since moving to London in August of 2011.

Mark Hoppus recently did a 6 minute video interview with i-D online in which he touched on a slew of different subjects ranging from the new album to random questions about the bands in-depth history. Mark also dropped the bomb that Blink will be heading into studio after their current tour...I'll take that bit with a grain of salt. Also I'm pretty sure Mark answered about half these questions already in an AMA he did with Reddit earlier this week. Check that out here.
