Martin Solveig has a knack for creating happy-go-lucky songs, the likes of which seem to lodge themselves in the inescapable reaches of your mind and resurface when you least expect it. Personally, they can be a bit bubbly for my tastes, and it doesn’t really help that the radio stations have taken to repeat like a raver to "Levels". But, being an optimist, there’s a silver lining to every cloud. Today that lining would be Carnage ’s remix of Solveig’s most recent effervescence, “Hey Now”, a track produced in collaboration with Cataracs and the vocalist [...]
After a slew of original collaborations including "Signal," "Mr. Lover," and "Incredible," Carnage continues on with his big room metamorphosis on the producer's rendition of "Hey Now." Lending his newfound festival talents to Martin Solveig & The Cataracs bouncy summertime vibes, Carnage douses the track's dance-pop aesthetics and sugary-sweet hooks in a tidal wave of thunderous synthwork. The reworked break sets the mix ablaze with Dutch-tinged, heavy electro stabs and pads transforming the candy-coated original into a razorblade-riddled Jolly rancher - this is one time you should take candy from a stranger. "Hey [...]

The only producer/DJ who can be mistaken for a tennis pro, Martin Solveig, has dominated 2012. After creating tracks for Madonna and DJing MTV's Movie Awards , the next major move was to drop his own album. Solveig is finally packaging his biggest and freshest tunes for his fifth studio album, Smash. He has been able to capture something special with this album, reaching a wide audience with commercial-friendly tunes while maintaining his European style. Smash includes everything from the long-time anthem "Hello" to Madeon and Dada Life remixes. We consider it a well-rounded electronic album worth attention. [...]

We've got a pretty massive bootleg pack for you to kick off the weekend, courtesy of Gothenburg, Sweden's Bauer & Lanford . Talk about a stacked line-up! They've created some of the smoothest, heavy hitting bootlegs we've heard in a long while, so have a listen to the minimix below and be sure to grab all these tracks from some of Sweden's finest. [...]

He’s French.. currently being hyped to the high hills.. and apparently he makes stupendous great music. Nantes, France is his homeland and he goes by the name of Madeon . You guys might have heard of him... Accompanied below is Alex Moreno’s remix on Euro Vision ’s 2012 winning ‘Euphoria’ - plus Madeon’s recent Mini Mix on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. MARTIN SOLVEIG – The Night Out (Madeon Remix) [...]

Holier-than-thou, but without the sanctimonious or confused pious rhetoric, Shane & Infin8y carry on their blustery Iberian paddles and hymn-like duties - amongst mighty big rooms.. in-room lasers.. and lots of showy-off hats + bandanas. Martin Solveig feat. Salif Keita vs. Gregori Klosman - Bombata Madan (Shane Private Mash Boutique) Nicky Romero vs. Hard Rock Sofa vs. Quilinez - Troll Generation of Quasar 303 (Shane & Infin8y Mashup) SHM vs. Alesso - Raise Your Antidote (Infin8y & Shane Bootleg) [...]

I’m not sure what it is with Britney Spears’s vocal but there is something about it that makes it sound even more alluring when it’s remixed and polished up immaculately – and served to the world inside a bona fide underground dance music nutshell. Just ask Armand Van Helden, Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, James Holden or even the duo Oliver if you don’t believe me. Mystifying up n’ comer ADDJ does a grand job here. The exquisite and ever beautiful Chicagoan, Dani Deahl , provides us with one of her mashups that reaches for the speakers and slams [...]
A variety of catchy club-ready jams for your listening pleasure. 1) Hells Bells (Original Mix) - Albin Myers This abrasive electro-house banger continues Albin Myers' stellar 2012 campaign. With full support from Avicii and Tiesto this track is no joke. If Myers' continues on this tear and lands himself a spot supporting a major artist on a US tour, methinks that it won't be long before he becomes a household name. Dude has swag and a signature mohawk that will set him apart from others. 2) The [...]

Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, and Chuckie have collaborated on an absolute banger of an electro-house track. "12343 is a rowdy, uproarious jam, topped off by a boisterous airhorn hook. This bad boy is set for release on May 7th on Mixmash, but enjoy two videos below of Laidback dropping it at Ultra, as well as in Madison last night. Keep your eyes peeled on the site as we roll out our interview with Laidback this week! Be sure to change video settings to 720P for optimal viewing
Well it didn't take long for "The Night Out" to start popping out some more remixes and this time it's from Finnish producer Lenno. His most recent " Eyes Wide Open " remix rocked, and it sounds like this one will be just as electrifying and a whole lot more groovy. French house, we love you. The Night Out (Lenno Remix) - Martin Solveig Out tomorrow, on Beatport. -Westhead ( @RDWesthead )

Day one started right off the back. Right as we landed, we headed to our hotel on South Beach, threw on our gear and trekked over to the Epic Hotel where a pre-game pool party was waiting. When we reached the Epic, we had to take an elevator up 16 floors where we were met by a security guard blocking the entrance to the pool party. Somehow we managed to sneak past the security guards, where soon we were met with drinks, pools, and surreal views of the Miami bay. Epic pool party, amazing, but ULTRA was calling. As we reached the entrance of the festival, you could hear the [...]

As you might have heard, Martin Solveig's new EP "The Night Out" was released a couple days ago with a slew of remixes from the like of big hitters A-Trak and Madeon. However the track that really took me by surprise was the Les Bros remix of Big In Japan which is a perfect example of how I like my electro house; big and dirty! Upon doing a little research on Les Bros, apparently they've now changed their name to TV Noise so go over to Facebook and give them a like! Martin Solveig: Facebook [...]
Are you ready for this? We posted Madeon's remix of "The Night Out" a couple weeks ago. Coindidently, TheFatRat released an even more outrageous remix on Solveig's same EP. This track has been built up over the past few weeks and has blown up overnight (shocking). TheFatRat has given away his past remixes, but you can take a [...]
The wait is over, Martin Solveig's latest all-star release is upon us. It's already had three tracks that have toppled the charts days, even weeks, before the release. A-Trak's gearing electro remix, Madeon's everlastingly bright rendition, and a slamming rework have all made their mark, but wait - there's even more goodness. It features new remixes of classic Solveig tracks like "Hello," "Ready 2 Go, " and the more recent "Big In Japan" by great up & coming/established producers of all styles. Les Bros, Maison & Dragen, a few tweaks from the man himself, and a few others each have [...]
I'm sure you've all been biting your nails on the edge of your seat waiting for this EP release. Or maybe that's just me... Ok, I didn't do that either, but this is still a great EP with some heavy hitters on the remixes. Martin Solveig released his highly publicized album ' Smash ' over nine months ago that featured hits like ' Hello ', ' Big In Japan ', and ' Ready To Go '. From this album we've seen a clusterfuck of remixes for the tracks just listed, but unfortunately none for [...]
The hype for Martin Solveig's upcoming EP is absolutely gut-wrenching. Remixes that can change your life, and a single that is sure to wreck the charts when its out - now here's a little something extra. A mash-up rework, if you will, of A-Trak's remix and Martin's remix that was dropped at Ultra this past weekend. The man has outdone himself once again, enjoy! The Night Out (A-Track Vs. Martin Rework) - Martin Solveig -Westhead ( @RDWesthead )
