Their crazy videos, hectic live performances and endless energy is what makes them work so well. From getting butt-naked in the middle of New York, to vertical crowdsurfing, to harlem shaking it, this couple choose to have fun with their music, and twerk it. [...]

Maha Festival kicks off August 17th this year and although Nebraska's answer to Governor's Ball, Pitchfork, etc, is noticeably more modest in size than its counterparts, organizers have put together a downright attractive bill for the middle-coast. Omaha, otherwise only famed in the music world for its mainstay indie venue, the Sokol Underground, will be celebrating its fifth year as the destination for Maha attendees. Aside from being the only music festival for 500 miles, Maha boasts one other extremely proud trait separating itself from every major Summer festival I can think of. As the official [...]

One of the greatest music festivals in the world recently returned as a championship contender when they released their lineup for 2013. Lately, the festival seemed to rely mainly on its prestige alone. After all, it is a festival that spans over 11 days and has more than 800 acts performing on 11 different stages. The festival is a vision of the great late mayor of Milwaukee, Henry Maier, who wanted a massively relative festival that would compare to the joyous Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. He started the tradition that became Summerfest in 1968. The lineup [...]

Since those academic beginnings, the Indie rockers have gone on to release three full-length albums, culminating with 20132s Beta Love (via Barsuk Records). And now, in support of their new record, ...

Last year's Great Googa Mooga in Brooklyn caught a slight bit of bad PR when Saturday's chapter of the festival attracted a much larger crowd than their planning committee anticipated. Fret not though, as with any major event these kinks tend to work themselves out in subsequent years and our friends at Superfly Productions (Bonnaroo, Outside Lands) have smooth sailing in their sights for 2013. Superfly Co-Founder John Mayers explains, “We always learn a lot from first year events and taking all the feedback into account, we will be expanding the festival’s General Admission footprint; increasing points [...]
