Matt & Kim’s new album, Lightning , perhaps considerably more sophisticated than past efforts, but upbeat party songs are still what they do best. “Let’s Go” is the band’s latest positive, anthemic single, and it comes complete with handclaps, slinky synth riffs, and power chants. Even if you’re not the biggest M&K fan, it’s pretty hard to deny the song’s charm.

Matt and Kim’s new single “Let’s Go” is available now and is a mixture of their original indie pop summery beats and calming vocals. The ooh’s and ahh’s definitely make the track do what it does best; it makes you want to get into your car, drive, roll your windows down, and “not care”. Which is, coincidentally, what the lyrics state Matt & Kim want to do. There have already been several times this summer where I've thought to myself, "It's an 'I love Brooklyn' kind of day." Today is another one of those - and from the looks of things, it's going to stay that way for the next long while. Here's the first in what will hopefully be a lengthy series of playlists inspired by what's turning out to be a wondrous summer. The cutest duo there is, Matt & Kim are set to release their 4th record, Lightning . We can now watch a video for first single, “Let’s Go”, which features some remarkable dribbling skills and the lad and lady looking all cool on the bleachers.  This is the same emphatic, energy starting sound that we come to expect and love form the band. This is probably the one band you never ever want to see change.  While the new record won’t be out to Fall, this should hold us over just fine.

Depois de um teaser lançado recentemente, o duo Matt & Kim divulgou hoje o primeiro single de seu novo álbum, Lightning , que deve sair em setembro ou outubro . No vídeo, temos Matt e Kim sentados em uma quadra de basquete enquanto um jogador, Pat the Roc , faz acrobacias e mostra suas habilidades com algumas bolas de basquete. Lightning será o quarto trabalho de estúdio da dupla.

This fall the ever-fun duo Matt & Kim will be releasing their 4th studio album, Lightning, and "Let's Go" is the first taste we are getting from the band's follow-up to their 'MTIB-chart-topping', Sidewalks . "Let's Go" features the same catchy qualities you would find in most Matt & Kim songs, but takes a different approach. I'd say it is more reserved and tame than the likes of "Good Ol' Fashioned Nightmare" or "Block After Block" and the hook isn't as catchy as "Daylight", but the song leaves no doubt that another great album is on [...]

Matt & Kim are gearing up to release their upcoming album Lightning to the masses this fall, and "Let's Go" is the first look we're getting at the new project. If you were into Sidewalks, then there's no way in hell you won't be into this. The same upbeat, summery vibe that they've been capturing for the last couple of years is fully evident on the new single. I don't think anyone expected anything different.
