Next, guitars to the max for Weatherall's remix of My Bloody Valentine's Glider EP and a remix of the track " Soon ". This samples Westbam's Alarm Clock to great effect. Guitars set to phase, delay and stun and breathy Ah Ha's throughout, with a sort of funky drummer backing thing. Shoegazing remixes don't get any better than this my floppy fringed young things. My Bloody Valentine are my favourite band. Always will be. The only person to ever improve an MBV track is Andrew Weatherall with his classic remix of 'Soon' in 1990. The only track that feels like it was meant to be mixed into/out of that song, is 'Aruca'. Thrashed out in 1992 by US band Medicine on their debut album Shot Forth Self Living (also released on Creation in the UK; Def American in the US), 'Aruca' sears and burns your ears before launching into one of the best drum rolls in early shoegaze outside of 'Soon'.
