My girlfriend made me find the Blue Valentine Soundtrack since all girls love movies that make them cry and with a Grizzly Bear soundtrack, who could resist? Unfortunately it sounds like just that.. a movie soundtrack. Not boring and very pretty, but not too exciting either. The whole time I felt like I should be looking at a screen. Wow.. I'm totally speechless that so many artists of this caliber collectively made such a terrible soundtrack. I'm dead serious, I have never heard so many different unique people sound so homogeneous. I know people will say that the Grizzly Bear song is decent.. but is it really? I'll defend Thom Yorke and the Bon Iver/St. Vincent duet for a least being good songs, but when it comes down to it they are barely register as anything exciting or different. Honestly, I just watched this movie for the first time the other day while carving pumpkins. And honestly, besides the amazingness of Tom Savini's gore and zombie makeup and John Harrison's soundtrack, it bored the crap out of me. There I said it. I would call this movie, "Annoying People Arguing About Zombies In a Bunker". Ugh.
