Brooklyn band Hospitality release their self-titled debut album next week through Merge Records. The band has put together a video for their single "Friends of Friends" that was directed by Scott Jacobson, featuring Alia Shawkat of Arrested Development and Gabe Delahaye of Videogum. The Magnetic Fields will be returning to Merge Records and releasing a new album, the band announced today.The record is titled Love at the Bottom of the Sea and is due out March 6th, 2012 . The band says the album marks a return to the band's more synthesizer-oriented sound, after their self-described "synth-free" trilogy of records: 2004's I , 2008's Distortion , and last year's Realism . Merge Records has unveiled details about the second reissue from Archers of Loaf . Coming on the heels of the well-recieved reissue of Icky Mettle , the album will also be a double disc with 16 previously unreleased/rare demo and 7-inch tracks. Due out February 14th, 2012 , the reissue will also feature a hand drawn version of the albums original artwork by Jay Ryan.

This past summer saw the release of the Rosebuds fifth album, Loud Planes Fly Low. Wild Flag , the new group featuring Carrie Brownstein and Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney , has announced a string of dates in March and April next year that will see them visiting Australia and the US east coast.
