BEAKR aka Micah Smith is a DJ/Producer from Boise, Idaho currently residing in Chicago. Micah just recently came out with his original mix "Smoking Gun". This track does a great job of blending old school samples while still incorporating that great electro feel. It's a plethora of soothing sounds that still delivers a small crunch factor. Blog favourite Arturo sent us his latest mix to Metric's Blindness this past week. The BC native continues to give us the shock and awe treatment over his discofied beats. Blindness features a light melodramatic addition to vocalist Emily Haine's original and also includes the stylized spacey disco flare Arturo is renowned for and so effortlessly produces. Nightbreaker is an act that I didn't really know much about until recently (and to be honest, I still dont - exposure is pretty nill on this guy).
