M.I.A. has been hard at work after the success of "Paper Planes" because of its inclusion in the movie  Slumdog Millionaire. Her third album is ready to pop. M.I.A. has finally released some information about her third album to quench our thirst. The album is set to be dropped sometime before summer. She's been busy working with Christina Aguilera and doing this third album (after supposed retirement). The third album will have a more melodic feel to it. More musical and "really odd," according to her, which can be interpreted in both good and bad directions. She has leaked a snippet of a song called "Theres Space For Ol Dat I See." M.I.A. has revealed plans to release a new album later this year. Speaking to Rolling Stone M.I.A. said she would release the follow-up to 2007's ' Kala ', sometime this summer. The forthcoming album was mostly produced by Blagstarr . The singer also revealed that the new album would see her both singing and rapping stating, "I just stopped singing on the last one because I put more emphasis into production, so I was more about making beats and sang less on my last album." M.I.A. is working on her album despite being busy with Christina Aguilera's. The rapper is working with Diplo and Switch mainly, but also has another producers. Diplo has already done 2 tracks with her. The album's set to be her third after Arular and Kala . Everything she touches turns into gold, so we are not doubting the result. Diplo says that the songs are a cross between Animal Collective and Gucci Mane, which is very interesting if anything. According to Tricky Stewart, Christina Aguilera's new album is already done and is getting mixed right now. Tricky said “The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.” There's a track on there that M.I.A. worked on with Flo Rida. Christina wants to release this album before she has to work on Burlesque her movie co-starring Cher! Good news. Christina Aguilera has one of the strongest voices of our era. No doubt about it. As much as we love her, we thought that the greatest hits collection was premature and Back To Basics , though it had some solid gems, had too much fluff. M.I.A. has informed her fans through her MySpace page that she has given birth to a healthy and beautiful boy . She stated that she got into labor hours after her Grammy performance. M.I.A.'s fiance Benjamin Bronfman was by her side and she jokingly stated that the family's planning a tour together.

M.I.A. was just talking retirement when her single "Paper Planes" made it big because of some rap sample in the US and now she is back in the game. This time releasing an EP titled  How Many Votes Fix Mix to remind people of an older hit ("Boyz" - this time remixed to feature heavy-weight Jay-Z) and introduce more material ("Far Far" and "Shells"). Right now, anything from M.I.A. is worthy of multiple spins. Talks of a third album are surfacing now.
