My first Australian Day has come and nearly gone, and I'm still not 100 percent sure what it is. But then, neither are most of my Australian friends. At first, it was described to me as the Aussie version of the U.S.'s Independence Day, but after Devarni did a mobile-phone Internet search, we decided it had more in common with Columbus Day. January 26 is the anniversary of the day in 1788 when Great Britain populated its island territory in the Southern Hemisphere with convicts. I'm not sure that's quite it, and I'm a little too exhausted [...]

I'm not sure where in the world you are. But here in Chicago = snow. I sat at work all day yesterday and watched it puke snow so hard that I was confused, like when I googled "puke snow" and this picture of Heather Graham came up (?). So I thought I'd hit you kids with a bit of dancable, turn the heat up tunage. Via Neon Gold Beat Company , I've got this Holidays remix by Lenno & Jesse Oliver that will certainly do [...]

Bass, Chords, Synths and Spanish. Never fear, I'm bringing you possibly the most eclectic post this side of Bollywood and the anticipation is killing me, let alone my eardrums. First off we have a new release by Mau5trap's own Moguai bringing the thunder down in Mpire, off his full length LP with the same name. The LP 'Mpire' will be available on January 30th, and if this high energy, chord driven track is any indication for what is to come, this may be one of the biggest releases in this young year of 2012. Buy it on [...]

Just grab your favourite full-sized head cans and take five minutes out of your day and let this beautiful work command your full attention. The Australian indietronica band from Melbourne, Miami Horror released their first studio album Illumination on August 20, 2010. Their distinctive disco-house throwback style in Illumination got critical acclaim and their single "Holidays" has been a staple track in the genre, featuring the vocals VEGA/Neon Indian's Alan Palomo. The young, up and coming producer from Finland, Lenno (who is only 16 years old) teamed up with friend Jesse Oliver for a rework of "Holidays" that matches more the original disco style of the song with a welcomed amount of extra bounce. The amount of dance infused in [...]

Although a far cry from the bahamas and the Holy Ship cruise, Australia has it's own annual boating adventure in the form ' Ship Faced! ' - an initiative from Sydney based Event company Audiopaxx. With only one notch in the belt the party is already exceeding its previous antics and looks to kick off 2012 with a splash. Having just arrived home from a US stint, Miami Horror will manning the poop deck for a DJ set, with Starfuckers, Glove Cats and yours truly, Stoney Roads DJs heaving portside. The party is set to roll [...]

Miami Horror - Holidays (Lenno & Jesse Oliver Remix) by Lenno
I was just talking with DJ B-Rob about how addicting Miami Horror's "Holidays" is, when I was graced with a little remix by the teenage Finnish wunderkind Lenno, with assistance from Jesse Oliver. These two remix animals focus on what makes "Holidays" so catchy to begin with, and then inject it with addictive dance grooves. The result is as follows. Tweet

What can I say about Miami Horror and Benjamin Plant except that I love his curly locks and want him to serenade me with sweet disco tunes. From 20082s Bravado EP to 20102s Illumination album, Miami Horror hasn't missed a single dance floor beat, making them the perfect subject for remix treatment from DJ's and producers everywhere. And they have been remixed quite a bit. Today's remix is by 16 year old Finnish phenom Lenno . We're no stranger to the talents of Lenno and time he's teamed up with a fellow Finnish friend, Jesse [...]
producer Lenno is fast becoming a name to watch with a string of amazing reMixes. This time he's teamed up with Jesse Oliver to rework Miami Horror 's hit of last year, 'Holidays'. It's a rapid fire bassline that keeps this tune pumping. Bright retro synths stab away at the tune but the machine bass never falters from it's course and lends the tune a slight Italo flavour. Leno and Jesse Oliver have crafter a really nice Dreamwavey update to the song, keeping the Indie-Electro feel to the vocals but bringing them straight [...]
