Stereogum So the afterparty for last weekend's SNL season finale looks like it was pretty fun. The Foo Fighters, who'd just helped out host Mick Jagger on the show, ended up playing a set of covers in the middle of Rockefeller Center under the goofy-joke cover-band name Chevy Metal. They played the Rolling Stones' "Miss You" with Jagger singing, and they also did a couple of Joan Jett songs with various past and present SNL cast members singing. Amy Poehler doing "Bad [...]

Foo Fighters had quite the wild Saturday: They headlined The Bamboozle in Asbury Park, NJ just hours before backing Mick Jagger on Saturday Night Live . And yet they still had enough energy to serve as the house band for SNL' s late-night cast party at Rockefeller Center. According to a contributor who attended the party, Foo Fighters performed covers under the moniker Chevy Metal. Below, you can watch footage of Foo's performing The Stones' "Miss You" with Jagger, Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" with Parks and Recs' Amy Poehler, [...]

As we reported last week, Saturday Night Live broadcast the Finale of its current season this past weekend and the guests were pretty damn noteworthy! Mick Jagger presented and was joined by Foo Fighters , Arcade Fire and Jeff Beck. If like me you live in the UK and missed the broadcast don't fret as The Audio Perv managed to catch all the action so we can re-live it today. First up at the top you can see Mick perform "The Last Time" with Arcade Fire and Nikolai Fraiture [...]
Nikolai Fraiture of the Strokes was there too.

Foo Fighters, Mick Jagger and Arcade Fire were all guests on the SNL season finale last night (May 19th). Clips from the show can be viewed below.

SNL had not one, but two huge musical guests last night with Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters . To top it off they brought in an older English man, who I'm assuming is maybe a movie director or old-time novelist, to play rockstar for the night. He was not bad, but with his funny movements and contorted faces you can tell he's never going to be the next Adam Levine. 12 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ARCADE [...]
Filed under: News , I Fought the Law , Politics as Usual Saturday Night Live When Arcade Fire backed Mick Jagger for three songs on Saturday Night Live last night (May 19), those red patches the band were wearing weren't fashion statements, but very pointed acts of protest in support of Quebec students who were quite literally setting fires in Montreal at the same time. [...]

The season finale of Saturday Night Live was jam packed with the music of the Rolling Stones. Which makes sense considering that Mick Jagger was the host and musical guest. But with the help of Arcade Fire, Jeff Beck and Foo Fighters (who had just finished headlining Bamboozle three hours before their appearance), the musical portions of the show were by far the most memorable. Down below you can check out Jagger performing "The Last Time" with Arcade Fire; "19th Nervous Breakdown" and "It's Only Rock n' Roll" with the Foos and a [...]

Saturday Night Live host and musical guest Mick Jagger got a hand from Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck, and the Strokes' Nikolai Fraiture when he performed on the show's 37th season finale last night. Arcade Fire (with Nikolai) backed the Rolling Stone on "The Last Time," and returned later with a medley of "She's A Rainbow" and "Ruby Tuesday" for the graduation-themed Kristen Wiig farewell (yep, it was her last episode). Mick also played "19th Nervous Breakdown" and "It's Only Rock 'N Roll (But I Like It)" with the Foos, and the new politically-themed "Tea Party" with Jeff [...]

Few would argue that these are the glory days of Saturday Night Live . But if there's one thing the late-night staple has been solid at as of late, it's their musical guest bookings. This season alone featured Radiohead , Jack White , The Black Keys , Coldplay , Drake , Bon Iver , Florence and the Machine , Usher , The Shins , Sleigh Bells , Foster the People , and Robyn . And to cap it all off, last night's season finale boasted the biggest performance of 'em all when Mick [...]

It's not enough that Mick Jagger had to host the season finale of SNL but when it was announced that Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Jeff Beck, Nikolai from the Strokes would be a part of Mick's band, you'd think that you'd have the most action packed SNL ever. But wait, what about the SNL Digital Short? Would we see members of all the bands in there? NOPE! We'd get a sequel to Lazy Sunday! Watch it below: What would Mick ...

Saturday Night Live has released a promo video for its upcoming season finale featuring host Mick Jagger alongside musical guests Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, and Jeff Beck. Watch it below.
Jagger hosts and performs this Saturday.

Mick Jagger will make his way to 30 Rockefeller this weekend to host Saturday Night Live 's 37th season finale. (37 seasons? Why, that's still thirteen years less than the existence of The Rolling Stones , who celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.) Though Jagger has clearly influenced countless other artists over the years, SNL cast member Kristen Wiig shares how she, too, was deeply affected by the iconic rocker. "I grew up on you," she tells him in a promo for [...]

What are your plans for a week today? Well, ok, I should specify that it's next Saturday evening? Whatever it is cancel it for Mick Jagger is hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live 's season finale, May 19th. Not only that but now reports are coming in along with tweets that his backing band will consist of not one but two Grammy award winning bands: Foo Fighters AND Arcade Fire. So that important meal you had planned with the family, cancel it.
