Fibes, Oh Fibes! are one of those Swedish indie bands that have been around for a while and kind of got lost in my shuffle, but this will soon change, judging by the arrival of their comeback single "Cerahtonia" . Produced by Pontus Winberg of Miike Snow , and featuring vocals from the two lovely ladies of Icona Pop , "Cerahtonia" is a celebratory, sun-kissed indie pop confection with infectious "ba-ba-ba" hooks that should cheer you right up in no time. Their new album, entitled "Album", is expected in April 2013. Download a free MP3 below, [...]

This song takes its time to get the party started, but Flight Facilities did good justice to one of my favorite Miike Snow songs. Download Miike Snow The Wave (Flight Facilities Mix)

There seems to be a Miike Snow takeover in the EDM world these days. Devil's Work has been a huge hit on mixes, especially, my personal favorite, Dirty South's remix. Love how well he works in the original piano chords with the looped vocals to build it to a massive drop. I can just see myself now at EDC going nuts to this! Another track form the Swedish trio of Miike Snow, that is building popularity, is The Wave. Though Thomas Gold's remix, which recently surfaced from Pete Ton’s Radio 1 show, is brilliant, I stumbled upon Hi52s bootleg and man did this kid do a great job. [...]
With his usual sense of humor and style, Tommy Trash has released another monthly mix for our shared enjoyment. Ranging from the dizzyingly euphoric to the head-bangingly atonal, it has to be his mixes' effortless diversity that makes Tommy Trash one of the most exciting producer / DJ's to follow right now. Tech house, heavy [...]

This video reinforces my fear of public parks and excitement for Happy To You which is actually up for purchase on iTunes as of yesterday unlike the previously advertised release date of March 26.

Here's teaser number 4 from Miike Snow's second album "Happy To You" releasing on March 26. Based off of the handful of tracks we've heard so far I'm really going to be listening in with high expectations come release day. Track listing after the jump.

Miike Snow a few days just decided to share another track off of their new album "Happy To You" debuting on March 27th via Downtown / Universal Republic . Happy to You : 01 Enter the Jokers Lair 02 The Wave 03 Devil’s Work 04 Vase 05 God Help This Divorce 06 Bavarian #1 (Say You Will) 07 Pretender 08 Archipelago 09 Black Tin Box [ft. Lykke Li] 10 Paddling Out Miike Snow: [...]
If someone would've asked me to picture Miike Snow and Lykke Li working together I don't think I would've been able to. I certainly wouldn't have expected it to sound anything like this. It's surprising from a lot of directions but how mature their sound seems is what gets to me the most. I'm really excited for Happy To You .

Miike Snow won't stop teasing. Only within days after unveiling new single "Paddling Out", the Swedish supergroup has now unleashed the third new track from upcoming album "Happy To You" . The Lykke-Li -featuring "Black Tin Box" sounds like the best of both worlds: pretty synths from the band and Lykke's love for boisterous drums. It's probably my favorite out of the three we heard so far, from what's shaping to be a great second album. STREAM: Miike Snow - [...]

Perhaps my favorite release this year has been Joywave's 7777 mixtape, which features 11 tracks with familiar backing and unfamiliar vocals. In a moment of musical genius, the group of five essentially redid a number of samples to fit their sound (rather than taking the exact carbon copy). When factoring the layered [...]

So far it seems like the first few months of 2011 have been dominated either by atrociously hilarious pop (you know who I'm talking about), unbelievably awesome comebacks (Beastie Boys), or soul-crushing mixtapes. A recurring theme on the those mixtapes is the mixtaper's ability to make trite and once-enjoyable-but-now-just-a- parody-of-themselves music, listenable again. OFWGKTA 's Frank Ocean released his mixtape and did this with Coldplay and their song "Strawberry Swing", The Weeknd 's "House Of Balloons" mixtape was fan-fucking-tastic and did an amazing job at sampling good music, and now Joywave have done it in their mixtape [...]
