Soooooooo, I am on a quick break from my SXSW activities and I came back to room, opened the computer to watch the new video from Miike Snow for the single, The Wave . Now I am really confused, what is happening here, and can someone to explain this to me??? Thanks. Carry on hipsters...
Sober up your Thursday with Miike Snow's "The Wave" video, which is equal parts kooky and disturbing. Picking up at the end of "Paddling Out," which depicted a human man surgically altered by aliens and transformed into a giant-nosed, black-vinyl-pants-wearing curiosity, this Andreas Nilsson-directed clip begins with an object falling from space and killing a lot of people, then spends a lengthy amount of time with the police as they deal with the bodies. Fun, right? Luckily, things take a turn for the bizarre toward the end and lighten up (kind of). To describe what happens would be impossible, so [...]
Last month, we posted Swedish popsters Miike Snow's " Paddling Out " video, in which aliens kidnap earthlings and attempt to transform them into perfect beings. Today, we get the sequel in the form of the band's video for "The Wave," in which all those experimented-upon earthlings return and invade. It's all slapsticky absurdism, but then there's also a playground full of dead kids. I don't think it's supposed to be depressing, but it totally is. Watch it below. Read More...

Miike Snow's latest video for "The Wave" picks up right where the "Paddling Out" clip left off. While the video for "Paddling Out" had more of an obscurely fun vibe "The Wave" begins with a bunch of children (or are they the aliens?) being annihilated on a playground, so it's a little darker. Luckily, the entertaining gang of perfect humans lightens the mood when we discover they have some sort of siren call ability that leads a group of policemen to gyrate. I'm not really sure why I'm even trying to explain any aspect of this clip. [...]

I'm very excited about Miike Snow's second album, Happy To You, which is released tomorrow, Friday, March 16, in Ireland. I have no idea wots going down in the MIIKE SNOW 's new video for the WAVE , but my Thursday 7:17am eyes heart a her. Now if only I could stay off work today and watch a few seasons of X-Files.
Miike Snow 's sophomore album Happy To You finally saw release yesterday, and the album continues to see support. With a headlining tour set to begin on April 10th, following performances at SXSW and Ultra Music Festival, Miike Snow are upping the promotion of their latest studio effort with a brand new video for the second track on the album, "The Wave." The video itself is incredibly strange, giving off the eery sensation of shows such as X-Files or Twin Peaks, albeit with a rather comical dance number featuring donut-eating police officers. Check [...]
