Miike Snow 's last LP was a big hit here at the Maroon Cafe, and Flight Facilities is a more personal musical crush we haven't elaborated upon yet. So having the two Aussie mix magicians take " The Wave " as their acoustic play-doh is like the cherry on top of Happy To You . The punchy pop track grows even more poignant with the added pulsating beat and tends to turn more and more into a house music track as the song advances.
With remixes few and far between coming from Flight Facilities , it's truly a great day when they gift us with one. Thankfully yesterday we were lucky enough to have them give away this buoyant remix of Miike Snow's The Wave to us for free, as a thank you for being at nearly 50k fans. Miike Snow's latest video for "The Wave" picks up right where the "Paddling Out" clip left off. While the video for "Paddling Out" had more of an obscurely fun vibe "The Wave" begins with a bunch of children (or are they the aliens?) being annihilated on a playground, so it's a little darker. Luckily, the entertaining gang of perfect humans lightens the mood when we discover they have some sort of siren call ability that leads a group of policemen to gyrate.
