After going silent for so long it's gratifying to have Miike Snow back in our lives. After their debut album that garnered an amazing response followed by some heavy touring the boys sort of dissapeared for awhile, but now their back with quite the work ethic. They released this jam yesterday, a remix of "Paddling Out," from Jacques Lu Cont. I'm hoping this one gets mixed into their set at Ultra. Fingers crossed. Happy To You out in March.

There is much to love about impending Miike Snow releases. The new songs, the upcoming live show, creepy pictures, and of course the remix. This is dreamy stuff. Happy To You comes out March 26th.

Jacques is well and truly back. The super producer has been silent for 8 years under his Jacques Lu Cont guise, but he's really making a comeback at the moment - we've had 'Reload,' 'Church' and now for what he does best: remixes. He's taken his well-trained electronic wand to the new Miike Snow track 'Paddling Out'. Turning a relatively tame track into something that could easily slay and dance floor.

Miike Snow remixes commence. Their follow up album isn't due out until March 27th, but that doesn't mean that producers aren't remixing the hell out of the few tracks we've heard off it already. P&P tells me that this dude Jacques Lu Cont is a Grammy-award winning producer, also known as Stuart Prince. I'll trust them on that. Either way, this shit is treating me right at the moment. Tweet

New dreamy, and a tad bouncy remix of Miike Snow 'Padding Out' , from their upcoming album Happy To You, out in March 26th via Columbia/Downtown Records. In all honesty, Jacques Lu Cont did a decent job adding an extra level of dance, with a more aggressive progression of melodic notes overlaid with a prominent baseline. "Paddling Out" wouldn't be a proper Miike Snow song if it didn't start getting remixed all over the place by some pretty serious electronic musicians. The first to take a crack at "Paddling Out" is three time Grammy-winning British producer Stuart Prince. He remixed this version of the track under his French moniker, Jacque Lu Cont , although he is known by multiple other group aliases including Zoot Woman, Paper Faces and Thin White Duke.
