After releasing two new singles, " 9th Inning " and " Triple Threat ," Missy has kicked into full promo mode. Along with Timbaland, she hit up NY for an interview with The Breakfast Club. Among the topics discussed were the duo's thoughts on Drake producing a posthumous Aaliyah album, the reason for Missy's long hiatus, and the never-ending rumor concerning Missy's love of the box. Interestingly, Timbaland also gave some insight on his thoughts regarding the music industry, what it takes to achieve longevity, and why he isn't worried about fitting in among today's artists. Timbaland has been teasing Missy Elliott's return for a few weeks, and he, thankfully, wasn't making an empty promise. Everyone's favorite "Work It" rapper has dropped her new single and she's bringing Timb for the ride. While Missy has flirted with multiple genres in the past, "9th Inning" sees the versatile MC returning to the edgy hiphop beats and lyrics that characterized her earlier albums like Da Real World . It's about time. Roc Nation finally gives J. Cole an extra $100 in allowance money so he can shoot a video for the standout track from his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story . Colin Tilley behind the lens on this one. I see Missy's still rocking that rooster bang. Good to see her back in action, though.

'I'm thuggin, bumpin GOLF WANG !' This is quite the welcome redux of Busta Rhymes' 'Why Stop Now' with Chris Brown (ugh). The remix adds our girl Missy and the Martian himself, Weezy F. Baby (the F stands for friendship). I'm really hyped for a new Missy album. My enthusiasm for new Busta Rhymes material, on the other hand, is almost completely null. via FADER

On a brighter note, "Nobody's Perfect" marks the return of Missy Elliott and damn she showed out on this. This sounds like '97 Missy . She absolutely murdered this hook. I love Behind The Music and who doesn't love closeted lesbian Timbo's muse, Missy Elliott. Classics upon classics . I've been getting grossed out by her instructing us to eat her chocha since like 6th grade.
