This video consists of one (semi) continuous shot taken from a trolley moving its way down Market Street toward the Ferry Building in San Francisco, reportedly just days before the devastating earthquake and fire of 1906. The clip is beautifully set to Air's classic 1998 track "La Femme D'Argent". This may get repetitive to some, but anyone who lives in or loves San Francisco should get a kick out of seeing what the city was like way back then. Very cool. Thanks to Renee Zalles for the tip!

Een fijne zondagmiddagpost. Air is ons wel bekend, en al helemaal All I Need. Het zoete liedje met de skaters-clip is voor menig twintiger parate kennis en All I Need mag ook wel de grootste hit van Air genoemd worden. Echter, op de CD Premiers Symptoms (eerder gemaakt, maar later uitgebracht dan Moon Safari) staat een liedje wat eindigt met een wel heel bekend melodietje: Les Professionels. I saw Moon the other day. From the near-silent shots of the big-wheeled rovers rolling across desolate plains to the austere, functional interior of the base the entire thing is a beautiful love song dedicated to classic sci-fi. Without trying to give too much away, it felt like the film was channeling the spirit of every movie from 2001: A Space Odyssey to Bladerunner.
