![[Trailer] We’re the Millers](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4966802_lg.jpg)
The majority of comedy films tend to follow plot formulas involving a mild-mannered character stumbling across a problem that goes through a series of outlandish challenges to take care of the problem while discovering something new or life-changing about himself along the way. Broken down like that, it seems kind of plain, doesn't it? What writers and directors have been doing is elevating the absurdity surrounding these characters and their obstacles. Sometimes, it works out; most of the time, it doesn't. We're the Millers , based on the first trailer below, seems like it could go [...]

In the world of crate-digging music junkies, there seems to be a new obsession every couple of years. You've had lo-fo garage, rockabilly, soul, and lord-knows how many others. Currently, the music cognescenti have latched on to obscure or out-of-print soundtracks. Thankfully, several labels have sprung up to accomodate the demands of those in search of Italo-disco, sleazy funk, and the like that scored films in the '60s and '70s. In addition to Death Waltz and Mondo , a new label has appeared - One Way Static . Ran by Sebastiaan Putseys from Belgium, [...]

A friend of mine turned to Twitter recently to share his praise about Dragon . With nothing to do, I decided to watch the film per his suggestion. Unbeknownst to me, the film starred Donnie Yen, most known for his roles in Ip Man and Ip Man 2 , two films fictionalizing the life of Wing Chun grandmaster (and Bruce Lee 's mentor), Yip Man. Since Ip Man was released in 2008, Yen has found himself becoming Hong Kong's "it" man, and with good reason. The upcoming Iceman 3D , a remake of 20082s [...]
We’re pleased to present you the very young actress Julia Garner, who is actually, with her dolly air, the face of a new horror movie! Directed by Jim Mickle and selected at the Cannes Film Festival in The Directors’ Fortnight, « We are what we are » is also the remake of a Mexican film who was already in [...]

Superman needs his Fortress of Solitude and Batman has the Bat Cave. We all need a favorite space to relax, reflect, write, read a book, watch a movie or showcase a favorite collectible or souvenir. Perhaps it’s a game room, library or secret room hidden by a moveable bookcase that leads to a man cave. I’ve always been curious what curios J.J. Abrams keeps close by, what books fill Stephen King’s shelves, what collectibles does Patton Oswald possess, what artwork lines Jim Lee’s walls, how many toys fill John Lasseter’s Pixar office and what movie memorabilia [...]
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the filmmaking team behind the blockbuster “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, comes Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ “The Lone Ranger,” a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and [...]

![[Trailer] Don Jon](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4965374_lg.jpg)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of my favorite actors. Anybody that's seen the immaculate Brick knows that Gordon-Levitt's acting range and ability has grown since his days on Third Rock from the Sun . Outside of the acting sphere, he's also a purveyor of arts with his hitRECord initiative which helps writers, illustrators, photographers, and artists of all media to collaborate with one another to create something amazing. With Don Jon , Gordon-Levitt is adding a few extra feathers into his cap. Don Jon is Gordon-Levitt's written and directorial feature-length film debut. Jon [...]

Hugh Jackman will return for his sixth appearance on the big screen as Logan this summer in The Wolverine and in preparation for the film, he will appear on the cover of Entertainment Weekly's "Summer 2013 Calendar" issue . The magazine also spoke with him about working on this film as compared to his first solo effort, which didn't get the reception he had hoped for. “Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth X-Men – just with different characters," Jackman said. "I left unsure if we’d achieve our goal, [...]
![[Trailer 2] The World’s End](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4964704_lg.jpg)
Following the first teaser trailer for Edgar Wright's The World's End is the first full trailer, exclusively premiered by Yahoo. The trailer provides more information on the film's premise, plus expands on a lot of the scenes already seen in the initial teaser trailer. As if excitement wasn't already high after the first look at The World's End , this trailer gives a better idea of what to expect from Wright's final film in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy. Why are there blue-ink alien/human things? Why doesn't Nick Frost's character drink beer? Why would [...]
![[Trailer] Man of Steel](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4964441_lg.jpg)
With its June 14th release date fast approaching, Man of Steel just released its final trailer. While it lacks the emotional gravitas of the previous trailer, it does show a bit more of action that past Superman films have lacked. I still have my reservations , both because of Zach Snyder's involvement, but also the weak characterization of the Superman character in general, but the hype has definitely been built up. With Christopher Nolan producing and generally overseeing the project, Henry Cavill could possibly do for Superman what Christian Bale did for Batman. Of course, [...]
If you are struggling with the decision over whether The Great Gatsby should be seen or avoided like the plague, will.i.am's contribution might help make up your mind. Still want to see a film that has songs like ' Bang Bang ' on its soundtrack?

Focusing more on General Zod's plans in the upcoming Man of Steel film, Warner Bros. has posted a new trailer. As one of my Top 10 Summer Movies , The Wolverine has a lot to prove. In the wake of The Avengers ' immense success from last year, it's going to be rough for the James Mangold-directed The Wolverine to meet such high expectations. It also doesn't help that its superhero film competitor for the season is Superman's return in Zach Snyder's Man of Steel . With the latest trailer, though, it seems that The Wolverine is ready for the challenge. It sets the emotional tone of Wolverine's guilt over killing Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) in [...]
