Big Deal 's new video is for the song 'Talk', and the story plays on a metaphor for a broken relationship. (Well, that's my best guess anyway. A guy comes back to the girl he hurt, because he knows she's "safe" and can heal him.) It dawned on me that we never gave away a free track from the duo, 'Chair'. Juan Zelada 's song 'The Blues Remain' is iTunes' single of the week. Grab it for absolutely nothing through this link. You're welcome. Zelada heads out on a tour of the UK in late March that doesn't finish until the end of April ( details here ); his album 'High Ceilings and Collarbones' just came out on Monday (6 February) on Decca.

Bear in Heaven will be releasing their next album 'I Love You, It's Cool' (what a title, huh?) in the U.S. on the 3rd of April, and I'm assuming a UK release will follow soon after. The trio have offered up 'The Reflection of You', fits perfectly as a follow-up track to their previous album, 'Beast Rest Forth Mouth', and you can listen to and download the song below.

Band of Skulls will be releasing their second album, 'Sweet Sour', on the 20th of February on Electric Blue Recordings. They want you to have the title track now, for absolutely nothing. Listen to and grab it for your very own below.

Here's something very special - and free - straight from Dublin. The Minutes would like to gift you the demo for 'Heartbreaker' featured on their debut album 'Marcata', released this past Monday (30 January). The 'Heartbreaker' single drops on the 13th of February (yes, that's the day before Valentine's Day, if you're looking for something especially rocking for your sweetie). Well, look who's on their way back to the record shops. Orbital will be releasing a new album (their first in 8 years), Called 'Wonky', it's scheduled to drop in the UK on the 1st of April. We Have Band 's new album 'Ternion' is out next week, and here's a remix of a track on the release, 'Where Are Your People?", remixed by Kompakt duo Walls. It's a nice lead-in to the forthcoming album, making you wonder how the whole thing will turn out. Listen to and download the remix below. Florence and the Machine 's 'No Light No Light' has been remixed by Spector. But the oddest thing about this remix is that Spector is calling it "the Ryan Gosling remix". (I have no idea where he comes into the equation. Is he a fan of theirs?) I've never been a huge fan of Flo but this glitchy mixed up remix isn't great. I guess you can say it's "eclectic"?

I discovered soft-spoken musical visionary Claire Boucher (aka Grimes ) through her support slot with Lykke Li last spring ( review here ) and I'm so glad that I did. About time that a woman stepped out and turned solo electronic music on its head (translation: enough of that James Blake bloke already). The Canadian has just signed to 4AD and will be releasing her first album with them, 'Visions', on 21 February in America. (The UK release will follow on the 5th of March.) To [...]

We here at TGTF are just a wee bit excited about the new Field Music album 'Plumb', ready to drop the day before Valentine's Day (13 February) on Memphis Industries.
