Muse gave every fan a fright with their album trailer for The 2nd Law with the dubstep element it involved. Muse 's brand new song "Survival" has been adopted as the official song of the 2012 Olympic Games that will take place in London this summer. The track made its radio premiere last night and will be available at iTunes around the world. "Survival" will be played throughout the sporting sessions in all London 2012 venues during the entire Games, when athletes enter the stadium, the lead up to the medal ceremonies and it will be made available for international broadcasters of the Olympic Ceremonies to use in their broadcasts. Yesterday, Metric dropped their fifth studio album Synthetica. Their lead single, "Youth Without Youth," has gotten the video treatment. Is it me or does this sound a bit like a song that Muse would do. Anyway, the rest of the album doesn't. Head to their site and stream it [ here ] before you buy it. One of our favorite rock bands, and pretty much bonafide bad asses MUSE have just released a new trailer for their upcoming new album and ummm, well, it sounds quite Dubstep like! Whether this dubstep sound is Muse’s new musical direction, or simply an attempt to troll fans, is unclear. Have a look at the album teaser and see what you think:

The Internet has been slightly abuzz over the past 24 hours with chatter surrounding the release of a trailer for Muse 's forthcoming LP, The 2nd Law . Muse vydají své nové album pojmenované The 2nd Law v září tohoto roku. Pro zkrácení chvil nám naservírovali trailer na svou novinku. Jak je vidět, tak nejen na filmy se dělají trailery. A musím říct, že na přitáhnutí pozornosti to funguje dokonale. Nejdříve sledujeme prostřihy na jakési postavy utíkající před něčím a to za doprovodu smyčcového staccata a hřmění chorálu, poté sledujeme záběry na tv zprávy, to vše dramaticky podbarvené komentářem hlasatelky. Dubstep is happening, people, and you can't stop it. After being sprinkled in mainstream pop songs from the likes of Britney   Spears   and  Madonna , and having the genre's current king Skrillex win a slew of Grammys, the wobbly bass has now found a home in the rock genre. Looks like Muse will be heading into the womp womp direction with their upcoming album The 2nd Law . Half of me is thinking that this will be a disaster, while the other half approves of the idea of experimenting into that kind of music with actual instruments. Sure, we have plenty of bands that try to duplicate that sound, but this is Muse we're talking about folks. Word is that they are working with David Campbell , who has worked with Radiohead, My Morning Jacket and countless other talented musicians so that could be promising. [...]

Muse have announced that their new album is entitled The 2nd Law , and it will be released on the 16th of September, 2012. They've also posted up a trailer which features music from a track called "Entropy". The track is not what I expected and could be called dubstep after a big string arrangement. It sounds like Matt messing around with his Zvex Fuzz Factory and Kaoss Pad to an extreme which he often does in a life setting.
