![Joey Purp – “iDo(nt)Care” P. Thelonious Martin [Video]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4957056_lg.jpg)
Sometimes, brevity is an essential element of creation. There's no need to force a longwinded speech when you can convey your message in a mere sentence. That's how I feel about " iDo(nt)Care ", a killer single from Chicago rapper Joey Purp of the SaveMoney crew and producer Thelonious Martin . He only raps for about a minute's time here, but anything longer would be unnecessary and perhaps even take away from his message. He doesn't care that this track is less than 90 seconds long and neither should you. It's still dope. You can watch the [...]

Continuning to keep up the pressure, dBerrie's latest move sees him stepping up to bring his unique touch to LA-based rock foursome Imagine Dragons' recent single "Radioactive." Unlocking the heavy-hitting original's dancefloor potential, dBerrie moulds the melodic urgency and emotive power into a driving house anthem. Channelling that sharp edge into his pounding drums and pulsing synths, dBerrie has crafted a peak-time production primed and ready for the Summer. The new remix continues what has been an outstanding year for dBerrie so far. With a steady stream of new music continuing to turn heads and a [...]
Tomorrow is the final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, that quintessentially European event wherein a curious selection of pop stars, comedians, and oddballs from around the continent compete to submit the most absurd pop song of the year for the glory of King/Queen/Secular President and country. The contest is generally surreal, hilarious, and as camp as a tent city, and this year isn't any different. In honor of the perennially amusing event - and because you could surely use some silliness to help you through Friday afternoon - here are some of the most gloriously ridiculous Eurovision entrants of [...]

photos by Amanda Hatfield Kurt Vile & the Violators @ Bowery Ballroom, 5/16/2013 The set was strong throughout, with certain jaw-dropping standouts. The pulsing "Shame Chamber," arguably the bounciest and most radio-friendly track on Pretty Daze, came to a gripping crescendo of piercing howls, frantic guitar soloing and tireless percussion. It was almost as though Vile was baiting the FM dial only to forcefully back away and maintain his musical independence. "Girl Called Alex," a heady, wafting song that grows increasingly more [...]

In our campaign to discover and shine a spotlight on the best and new producers in the game, we've received some great submissions. Every Friday we'll be doing a roundup of the week to feature the top artists both on Earmilk and Wavo. At the end of every month we'll be releasing the best submissions on a partnering label, where the featured artists will see their tracks hit Beatport and iTunes. This time around we're partnering with Ottawa's Capital Boom Records , and throughout the summer we'll be announcing a number of other labels to release with. [...]

Meet The Lawsuits from Philadelphia PA. They have been described as a schizophrenic mix of modern Americana, and that seems to suit them very well based on a few spins of their first single, Onion, which is a real treat. photos by Dana (distortion) Yavin Eric Burdon @ Highline Ballroom, 5/15/2013 The band came out, and warmed the room up. the audience had a good mix of people, some old, some middle aged, and some young. Everyone seemed pretty excited, and the energy by this point was strong. Finally, he came out, and the band kicked into "When I Was Young". Among the highlights were "Spill the Wine", which really sounded very funky and had a lot of life [...]

Village Green are a 5 piece rock n roll band hailing from Middlesbrough in the North East of England, their blistering live shows and memorable melodies have already seen them slot themselves firmly in as one of the best live bands of the region, writing songs that not only are catchy, but writing songs that make you feel something, that make you want to make music yourself, songs that make you want to put your arm around your best friend and have the time of your life. In the end this is a band you simply must see, and here [...]

If I hadn't already put together the Best Downloads of the Week post, I would have absolutely placed Tiger Tsunami's Re:Antarctica EP on there. The London producer's style is reminiscent of Teebs and Flying Lotus' work but with some guitars thrown into the mix to make it his own. Tiger Tsunami also enlisted three choice collaborators to deliver remixes of each track on here. I'm personally drawn to "Waves" the most, especially that outro, but the other two originals are just as lovely. Also, Koloto's remix of "Waves" is bonkers . And glitchy. [...]
We’re an Ottawa based quartet and we play music we like to call ‘pelvic rock’. It’s rock that makes you want to thrust your pelvis. Silvergun & Spleen is a band of 4 best friends, passionate about life, making music and having fun. That’s what this band is about. We hope to transmit that to as many people as possible. Our first LP, ‘Semi Truck’, was released in September of 2012 and we plan to tour it a whole bunch this year. We love to keep busy on Facebook and twitter and we’re always posting new [...]

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the brand Land Rover? Many think of luxurious British made SUVs and quality engineering, things that we have all come to expect from the brand year after year with each new model. Well, in Land Rover’s new “Roam Free” campaign they would like to add to that image. They want you to think of the power and freedom that comes with owning one of their beautifully crafted all terrain vehicles. In this new campaign, rather than simply exhibiting their new models and meticulously explaining the specifications and features, [...]
