Vonelle is a Toronto-based, indie rock band who released a self-titled EP last spring. The five song long EP pairs experimental song structures with Julia Crawford’s ethereal voice, creating a whole lot of wonder in just under twenty minutes. The opening track (“Over&Over”) starts with a catchy beat and a poetic first line, “Pretty once parading all over your bed.” Crawford continues to deliver vivid lines about dreams with a “ruby red gleam,” while also subtly balancing the surreal with the real through rhyme—like, “radios trying to pretend” with “be your own best friend.” The EP [...]

This is the first we’ve heard of Grum and the first single to be taken from his forthcoming album ‘Human Touch’ . There’s a number of remixes to go with it and it’s the Andre Crom remix that’s got our fancy – bringing the track a little more underground with some heavuer bass. Stream below.

Shibby Shitegeist's remix of Zeina 'Muffled Love' is a big chunky minimal tune packed with squelchy beats and great groove. Our mate GEM DOS has laid down an ace new track with a cool abstract video to go with it. The track is melodic electronica featuring soulful vocals, which are actually one female vocal line pitch shifted and contorted a number of ways. The video features a man with a very nice beard hanging about looking very serious near a lake.
