We've been massive fans of the innovative Now Playing show on BBC 6 Radio since it launched earlier in the year. Now Playing @6Music is an interactive show presented by Tom Robinson and each week they focus on some of the biggest online music news stories and build playlists around a central theme. It seems that now and again, there is always a musician who is doing his or her leg work, playing endless streams of shows and creating heavy buzz through word-of-mouth news. Live Nation is hoping to take a bit of a run at the all-in-one-type page that MySpace currently offers, one that has such innovative offerings as blogs, tour dates and a convenient place to purchase an act's music. Today the company announced that it would sell MP3s from Sony Music, Universal Music Group, and EMI through pages on its web site, with the company's fan club/e-commerce division MusicToday providing the backend.
