After reading Vic Galloway's rather nice article in today's Herald on the rise of bands in Scotland influenced by both grunge and lo-fi slacker indie rock. Between sitting shiva for my Bubbe, Chanukah , hanging with the family, and (the most time consuming of all) playing the new Zelda game (which is pretty awesome, as all Zelda games are),I've kind of just been out of the downtown-indie-rock-loop.
