Next Tuesday (1/24) K'NAAN will unveil his new EP More Beautiful Than Silence to the masses courtesy of A&M Octone. Yesterday we received our first taste of the EP on Complex Mag in the form of the first single, "Nothing To Lose," which features the legendary Nas. The smali rapper also has a new full length in the works and is slated for a Spring 2012 release. More details about the upcoming album are on their way, so check back here for details.
While everyone's favorite Somali Canadian artist has been relatively quiet the past year, he has been hard at work on his upcoming More Beautiful Than Silence EP. The full, CD quality version of the Mary J. Blige and Nas track off her upcoming My Life II album has leaked. Nas gets two verses on "Feel Inside" and that, along with the beat, makes it feel like a throwback 902s R&B/hip hop track. MJB has Rozay, Drake, and Nas on the new disc. This is the new single from Amy Winehouse's upcoming album Lioness: Hidden Treasures dropping Dec 6th. "Like Smoke" was recorded in 2008 featuring Nas with production from frequent collaborator Salaam Remi. While I'm not the biggest fan of posthumous album releases its definitely great to hear new music by the late Amy Winehouse along with Mr. Jones . As previously reported , Island Records is releasing the first posthumous Amy Winehouse record, Lioness: Hidden Treasures – on December 5th – just in time for the Holidays. In this case, they have collaborated for a fresh joint off The Heist , that awful-looking comedy-caper with that big chick from Precious . "It's a Tower Heist" sounds like the kind of song you'd love to hear on either rapper's new album, but instead it's killer soundtrack fodder for a movie no one should see. Ever.
