Yesterday we got to see Nas perform " Daughters " on the Late Show with David Letterman . Last night he kept the promotional ball rolling for his recently released studio album, Life is Good , with a visit to The Colbert Report . Last night, Nas continued his late night run with an appearance on The Colbert Report . Right off the bat, Colbert reminded the 38-year-old rapper of his original appearance on the show five years ago."The day you arrived on my show, your album went to number one," Colbert said. "This new album, Life is Good , I want this album to go to number zero." Last night on the Late Show with David Letterman , Nas paid a visit to perform his track "Daughters". The track features on his recently released album Life is Good and you can re-watch the performance at the top via Rap Dose .

If you catch Nasir Jones on the right day, he's still pretty much the best-dressed man in rap. Last night on Letterman , the man looked particularly dapper in a Sinatra-on-vacation sort of way, as he led a full band and horn section through " Daughters ," the maudlin-but-nice confused-father lament from his new album Life Is Good . Nasty Nas makes a stop by the David Letterman Show.

Yesterday Nas was joined on stage by Lauryn Hill at Openair Fraunenfield for their joint "If I Ruled The World" off of It Was Written . Word is they've been on stage together a lot lately, hope they have something new in the making. Plenty of dope acts performed at Openair including Rick Ross, Ludacris, Drake, J Cole, and A$AP Rocky. Nas says he was greatly inspired by Marvin Gaye's  record  'Here, My Dear' , a double disc album recorded about Marvin's messy divorce from Anna Gordy , sister to Berry Gordy.   He and Anna , who was 17 years older than him, were married for 13 years. MTV interviews Nas as he discusses his upcoming Life Is Good album, saying that the newest project is comparable to the Fugees' The Score . He also says that it is a complete album front to back. Any album that features Salaam Remi beats has to draw some concern these days, but let's hope this is dope. Hip hop needs a great album from one of the best rappers of all time right now. Ice-T's documentary, "From Nothing To Something: The Art of Rap", will be in theaters on June 12th.  Over the weekend he hosted a private screening of the film in Chicago, in which he also appeared and spoke to the audience.  Leading up to the release, we have some preview clips from the film featuring freestyles from Eminem and Nas, as well as Kanye West explaining why he decided to write down his raps while making My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy .
