Clearly, Nasir has his ear to the streets, the social networks and barbershops. After "Another Black Girl Lost," the resounding response from the peanut gallery was everyone wanted to hear [...]

Nas rules the Internet today. Queensbridge's finest took to Twitter and announced that his new album, Life Is Good , will be released July 17th. Fans will also get the new music video for "The Don" this week Friday. Nas' new album is easily the most anticipated of the summer so far, and unless Kanye decides to drop a new LP as well, it could possibly be king of the summer months. Check out the album trailer below.

This should be required watching for all Hip Hop listeners. And I say that without any music-snobbery. Get the story on Nas growing up in Queensbridge, working with Large Professor, marrying Kelis, reconciling with Jay-Z and all that. Props to VH1.
In the latest installment of VH12s Behind The Music series, Nas discusses the ups and downs of his illustrious career. You know that Kelis divorce still stings. One of the best episodes of BTM in a while. Oh yeah, motherfucker. This that shit. Watch Nas's VH1 Behind The Music |

Sit back relax and watch as Nas reflects on the events that have created a legend.
In case you missed it, VH12s "Behind The Music" with Nas just aired and, even though I only caught the tail-end, the episode didn't disappoint. And thankfully, Def Jam was [...]

Behind The Music is one VH1 Series that hasn't gotten corny, and is not just stupid. It's been one of my favorite shows since I can remember, I'd spend days watching the Behind The Music marathons. Tomorrow night they will premiere their latest episode about Nas. Before the real deal, we get a 10-minute preview of the show, which focuses on Nas' childhood in Queensbridge, and what happened when decided to drop out of school at the age of 15. In addition, you can see clips about Nas' marriage to Kelis, their divorce, as well as the beginning to his [...]
Happy Passover Apologies for the lack of content due to a variety of reasons. Good news for you is that I have still been acquiring jawnz while you have been waiting. Drake dropped this video alongside the visuals for Take Care a couple days ago. Even though Take Care will get more play thanks to the romantic tension, the concept behind this wins over everything. Shalom. Also, apparently G.O.O.D. Fridays restarted when no one was paying attention. Swizz Beatz feat. A$AP Rocky - Street Knock [...]

I have known Jeremi Jackson aka Twich for longer than most people in my lifetime. Over the years we have hung out and bumped into each other through mutal friends and one thing has always remained constant, Twich constantly pushing his production, bubbling away in the depths of his studio like a mad professor, his sound getting more and more polished with each new track i hear. I rarely give advice but get to know about this dude, he has already worked with some of the finest from the states and Australian audiences have been sleeping for too [...]

Peter Rosenberg held another edition of his Noisemakers series during SXSW, this year his guest was none other than Nasty Nas. The two spoke for over 30 minutes covering Nas' introduction to Hip Hop music, meeting MC Serch, signing with CBS, Melle Mel, and much more. Definitely a great watch, check it out below.
Following the successful launch of K'naan's track "Nothing to Lose" featuring Nas, he went back to the lab with the one and only will.i.am to work on a remix inspired by Hip Hop's "Golden Era". One of the genres most talented producers, Will took it back to his roots and crafted something that took the track in an entirely new direction.
This gave me goose bumps.

Nas released a new single last Thursday during SXSW in the form of "The Don". The record is co-produced by Chicago's own Da Internz, as well as Salaam Remi. I didn't get a chance to post much during my time in Austin, and "The Don" is amongst the things sitting in my inbox. Well, I'm back at it now and here we have Nas' first ever live performance of his new single thanks in part to RapRadar. Also you'll find the new single. Watch and listen below. Nas: "The Don"
Earlier today I was sent a promo copy of the K'NAAN 's forthcoming long_one. I'm yet to press play, unsure if I will, just starting with the new NOTING TO LOSE video now, which showcases a look at the real urban side of Toronto town. Oh and there's a cameo from the NAS too.
The NBA's TV schedule today was fantastic from start to finish* and caused me to ignore any of the stirrings in rap until tonight, where I found Twitter ablaze regarding [...]

There's not a lot of music videos that display Toronto's seedy underbelly (unless you count Drake's clip for "Headlines" , which had far too many grown men in sweaters and gloves to be truly gritty). For a look at the real urban side of Toronto, local hero/MC K'Naan takes collaborator Nas on a tour of the city in the music video for "Nothing To Lose" . The duo begin the night with drinks, where the Illmatic One spits some sagely wisdom. From there, it's on to car rides through various neighborhoods and meetings with [...]
