Still Flyin' actually just took off for me - another band I hadn't previously known in our inbox that has me excited. Their debut album, Never Gonna Touch The Ground , debuted April 7 on Ernest Jenning Record Co. Still Flyin' mixes catchy 70's-ish pop rock with new boy girl filled out harmonies and fun, expansive songs. I should have described them as a collective instead of a band though - led by Sean Rawls and started in 2004, they are comprised of 16, yes SIXTEEN, people! So Still Flyin' has been in my drafts for quite a while now. Got into them in the midst of my finals and have been absolutely loving them! I'm so glad I waited to post it now cause I'm relatively happier and in a mood where I feel I can better appreciate them. I'm sitting here in my media bunker at Austin's Top Notch taking in the music and drunken revelry of South By Southwest over a plate of world-famous fried chicken and onion rings. Just kidding. I'm actually sitting on my couch taking in the street noise with a PB&J ... on toast. Am I still sexy?
