One of the most fruitful weeks yet this year for new music releases. We're proud to feature Philadelphia's own Dr. Dog whose Be The Void is out today. We're quite excited about this album, not only because they're from Philly, but their last effort Shame Shame featured some great tracks such as "Jackie Wants A Black Eye" and "Where'd All The Time Go". Lots more to get to this week including The Twilight Sad with their creepy-titled No One Can [...]

If you haven't heard Lana Del Rey 's "Video Games" by now, we have a problem. The sudden stardom began last Summer and her track appeared more often than not on year-end lists. Her album Born to Die doesn't really have too much riding on it since people love her already, and so do we. Oh, and the other groups we mention this week just so happened to be incredible awesome - just check out the mp3s below. Exdetectives come from out of nowhere with Take My Forever . This solo project of [...]

Hello everyone and welcome to the 4th full week of January. This week we have quite an interesting array of artists whether you're looking to get tripped out visiting Gonjasufi's webpage or listening to some dance beats from Visionquest . But let's kick it off with our most anticipated artist, Nada Surf , who's lengthy-titled album Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy . We're excited to get our dirty paws on this one. Their last album If I Had A Hi-Fi (2010) really fit out fancy. We think this should [...]

A very short week with the holidays coming, so we'll be quick as well. Death Cab for Cutie has remixes, Kate Bush is describing snow and Sea Lion is going back to their roots. We have heard various DCFC remixes since Codes & Keys came out, and this should at the least be interesting. We're still not sure what the best remix is of their music, so lend us your comments. Kate Bush settles any nerves for us with her 50 Words for Snow album. Shoegaze for the season. [...]

With a such a small list this week and with the cold months slowly creeping around us, it seems an ideal time for Sigur Ros to release an album. While the rest of the list is ridiculously short, we have a few other shout outs to get in as well. Inni , the first live album from the Icelandic group, and a film of Sigur Ros ' 2008 tour in their homeland shows just how their countrymen adore them. We hardly hear a thing from them, so we're considering this Christmas-present material since it might [...]

Music hasn't slowed down yet this year with lots of great albums released today. We should start seeing a decline in album releases in about two weeks, so buckle your seatbelts for our year-end lists come December. First on the block is A Band of Bees from the UK. Believe it or not, but Every Step Is A Yes is their fourth studio album since Sunshine Hit Me arrived in 2002. "Listening Man" was one of our favorite songs of 2007 . We can't skip over [...]

What a fantastic week of music we have here. There are seven solid groups I am all revved up to listen to. But let's kick things off with Penguin Prison since they seem to pop the most out of this list. We already made their song "Golden Train" song of the week . Chris Glover has an alto voice which almost haunts you like that if Michael Jackson. Some serious music going on here with Penguin Prison's self-titled album this week. Let's not shun the rest of the crowd. M83 deserves quite a [...]
This somewhat short list has a few groups more than worthy of a preview and possible buy, starting with Radiohead and weaving to Mayer Hawthorne? Yeah, this week has it in a hidden capacity. Radiohead 's TKOL RMX 1234567 (The King of Limbs Remix 1-7) adds to the fantastic reworked songs throughout the past decade and a half from the group. Expect some crazy beats that beat out the original album's tracks. The duo of MGMT return with Late Night Tales. While Congratulations from last year didn't really [...]
