The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will will webcast a number of this weeknd’s sets on  YouTube , including My Morning Jacket, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Bruce Hornsby, Allen Toussaint, The Neville Brothers, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and a tribute to the late Alex Chilton featuring Dave Pirner, Alex McMurray, Susan Cowsill, Doug Garrison and René Coman. As if fighting in the "War On Christmas" isn't stressful enough this time of year, The New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Foundation just released the lineup for the 2012 Jazz Fest, setting off an almost inevitable debate about The Current And Future State Of Music™: Local Edition that has become as much of a yearly tradition as the purchase of ridiculous BayouWear leisure shirts adorned with piano keys shaped like fleurs-de-lis (or vice versa).  Regardless of whether last night's announcement was a beacon of hope or a harbinger of disaster, we've got ourselves another solid festival on our hands. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Foo Fighters, and The Eagles will headline the 44th annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
