LA's Superhumanoids are releasing their new album Exhibitionists on June 11th via Innovative Leisure, but that didn't stop them from taking the time to record a dreamy cover of the Nine Inch Nails helter-skelter classic "March of the Pigs" from the 1994 album The Downward Spiral . The trio smooths out the abrasive of the original to almost make you forget about the political nature of the lyrics and turning it into a completely different song. Check it out below.

One of the most hyped about album releases I have ever seen just got an appropriately epic video showing the first unboxing of the album. It shows both robots in a spaceship taking the Vinyl version of the album out of packaging for the first time ever. We get a glimpse at an epic looking piano artwork. Then they start playing the record and we get a 15 second preview of what could be the starting track "Give Life Back to Music" from the album

It's probably safe to say that Tom Odell's recent trip to the States has been nothing short of successful. A bit of a recap, there was Tom's US television debut on David Letterman last week (so good Letterman basically mentions he'd manage him), there was the filming of a new music video, and a stint of sold out shows including this one at the world famous Troubadour in West Hollywood. The young Odell is definitely doing all of the things that you want to make it right on this side of the pond. Along with his three-piece band, [...]

Chicago frenetic and just legal The Orwells have announced the release of thier new Other Voices EP June 25th on East End/ Canvasback (with a cassette on Burger Records). TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek handled production duties on the title track that we have below. The song is a high-energy, charged affair and everything you would want from an Orwell's song.

Call me old-fashioned, but when I think of Canadian music, I still conjure up the singer-songwriter tunes by Joni Mitchell and Neil Young floating around in my brain matter. So it’s with much shock and awe to hear some truly maniacal noise-rock headed our way from the edgiest climes of Hamilton, Ontario. With their 7” split "Mr. Hands," experimental hardcore quartet WTCHS push the heavy drum beats, cymbals and screeching feedback to a psychotic and cathartically satisfying red-line before simmering into a self-stimulating, art-punk groove of post-breakdown mood music. Fans of VAZ, Jackie-O Motherfucker [...]

AELIUS is the musical combination of London lads Martin Roberts and Lee Tyler. The utilize both electronic and more organic sounds creating music that builds slowly only to surge at all the right moments. They are prepping for an EP release later this year, but have been releasing loose singles in the meantime. "Echoes" is their latest offering and it brings to mind the best moments of M83 with the skying sounds that occur throughout. The song has our attention and will be on the lookout for more from this promising duo. [...]
Tamar Braxton is ready for summer with her latest single entitled "The One" produced by Yung Berg and LaShawn Daniels which samples Mtume's "Juicy Fruit" and of course B.I.G.'s mega hit "Juicy" and more recently Keyshia's "Let It Go." There is nothing spectacular about the song - but one has to admit that the cute [...] Tamar Braxton 'The One' (Listen) is a post from: RnB Music Blog
A track that has been pumped through my earbuds nearly everyday since its release, Smith Westerns' "Varsity" was fitted with a music video and released today (via PitchforkTV). The track is a representation of everything Smith Westerns has done well in the past and builds on it ten-fold, lyrically and musically. The depth of the track is pure pop brilliance, basically sugar coated with the motifs the group has been known to feature in their music: the unpredictability and dreaminess of young love. The video's colors and visual motifs fit the song perfectly, and the song itself [...]

Last month, Stockholm's mysterious Postiljonen released the single "Supreme" with an additional pretty great remix by Niva via Hybris . The song is beautiful layers of twinkling and hazy vocals filling your brain with a montage of moments of romance and wonder. We've been quite taken with the song, but just now got around to posting about it. Find all the necessaries below and drift away.

Sweden's NONONO last impressed a month back with their infectious pop song "Pumpin' Blood," now we get a proper studio version of "Down Under." We originally heard the yearning cut earlier this year in acoustic form in a performance video the band did. They continue to impress and impress. Expect a proper release later this year, in the meantime enjoy.

Golden Youth is the musical marriage of singer/songwriters Stephanie Lauren (vocals, keys) and Kyle Monroe (guitar). According to Monroe, the project is "based on a friendship." The craft large sounds using unconvential instruments such as flutes, vibraphones, and timpani's. Their live show even larger with five musicians backing the pair to bring to life thier creations. On May 28th, they will be releasing their debut album, Quiet Frame; Wild Light , via Slospeak Records . "Brother In The Morning Light" is sunshine in [...]

Lauryn Hill is back with a fury in her new song that dropped over the weekend. Apparently all it took was legal troubles regarding unpaid taxes to light a fire underneath her and bring her back to proper form. "Neurotic Society (Compulsory Mix)" is a commentary on the the injustices of our time and the money-driven world we live. We can only hope this is a taste of what is yet to come. Listen below.

With their sophomore LP Death Wish which just dropped April 9 th 2013, Twin Tigers , a stark, edgy band hailing from Athens, GA are pushing their brooding, angsty sound into even darker, sonic territory. The first track, also titled "Death Wish" shows singer/keyboardist Matthew Rain, guitarist Forrest Hall, bass player Aimee Morris and their new drummer Logan Hornbuckle dialing down mopester influences like The Cure and ramping up shredded-nerve influences like Bauhaus and Nine Inch Nails. And as sinister and ominous as that may [...]
