New York indie-pop five piece, Caveman released their debut eponymous album last month - and now the stand out tune from that album (and one of my favourite tunes of the last few months), In The City has gone and got itself a video (starring actress Julia Stiles no less). Check it out below:

Levende legende Giorgio Moroder leverde afgelopen maandag zijn allereerste dj-set in New York af. Hoewel de man naast hem, Chris Cox, waarschijnlijk vooral het technische gedeelte uit handen nam getuige de video's . Niettemin moet dat toch een fijne ervaring zijn geweest om te dansen op al die spacedisco hits van de man terwijl hij in de booth staat. There's a new band on the block. Producing some sweet post-folky-rock numbers with a hell a lot of substance, style and elegance right from the other side of the pond. Influenced by the likes of Austra, Nick Drake and Cat Power, New York-based Wilsen blend contemporary folk songs with ethereal, electric arrangements to create a full intricate sound tagged "dream folk". Except for some ghostly murmurings, there really aren't any vocals to be found in the first sixty seconds of newcomer Jimi Nxir 's "Sensation", yet never once does the record even edge into the realm of being boring, thanks to ever-busy Brooklyn multi-talent Melo-X putting in some serious production work with a mesmerizing groove made of somersaulting drums, strobe-y keyboard stabs and blips of electric guitar that could easily satisfy as a repeat-worthy recording all on its own.
