Every year, Platt Fields Park in Manchester is turned into Festival Central with the Parklife Weekender playing host to some of the worlds top musical talent and the initial line-up has just been announced and boy is it going to be a fun weekend! Scotland's RockNess festival has announced their initial line-up and it's an interesting mix. They've managed to get Scotland's very own Biffy Clyro to headline along with Deadmau5 and folk heroes Mumford & Sons . As well as the headliners a few others have been announced. I got down to see Lucy Rose at Rough Trade last year and it was unsurprisingly rammo in there. So as this was possibly the most dreariest of weeks, it was a Friday treat to receive this new track from my slight girl crush, Lucy Rose. A lovely bit of folk pop, it gets my toes tapping and head bopping. Lucy's music is sung with a degree of intimate anguish that I get utterly consumed by. But without sounding too muso like, I just really like this song. Exciting times [...]
