No Doubt came out after a decade of pause with a really good album (" Push and Shove "), but it's a real roller coaster form them. The pop superstars posted and then immediately deleted a video of "Looking Hot" following numerous racist complaints. Many viewers complained it was offensive to Native Americans, trivializing their history and culture. Basically, the video looks like a game of Cowboys vs. Indians, and that's the whole offensive thing. Here's the video (someone saved it, uploaded it, but I'm not sure how long it's gonna remain up). It seems the controversial video was released long enough for people to rip it and upload it again. This is the video everyone is talking about. While the song is not really that fabulous, "Looking Hot" might get more attention because of this mini-debacle. As for our opinion on the issue, we don't see anything here that is not portrayed in many Western films. Apparently, No Doubt have debuted their new video for "Looking Hot" and managed to delve into "hot" water right away. Gwen Stefani and Co. apparently offended many Native Americans with their imagery and storyline, allegedly. After a couple of comments landed on the YouTube page of the video, the treatment itself disappeared by the management. Rather than the ska/punk-rock of No Doubt's earliest material from the mid-90s, 'Push and Shove' (their first proper album since 2001's 'Rock Steady') mixes in a strong dance flavour that pulls the band into the new decade. Latest single Settle Down is a good benchmark for the new album - bright and vibrant, with ska rhythms, pop melodies and some light electronica (especially at the tail end).
