Rooks powerful remix of "Clouds" may just be too powerful for the vocals in Love in the Circus. Definitely feeling what each is bringing, but Rooks remix is such a dirty one - only capable in the Bay, by the way - that it may trot over Leanna Rachel's vocals a bit too much. NastyNasty's "Acid Hangover" is one romp around some strange ass sounds. Apparently, he created this after riding his cruiser bike around an abandoned San Joe while on Acid - sounds about right to me. Oakland synth-trance duo Finally Boys are making waves across the blogosphere with selections from their upcoming Feelings ep. There is something phenomenally transcendent about the duo's work, harkening back to the 902s rave explosion, while maintaining a forward-thinking sound that is both fresh and exciting. Oakland's psychedelic experiment, Bukit Timah , recently came up on my radar from a submission he left in my inbox. To my discovery I uncovered a beautiful two sided piece that explores a collage of humming and brewing lo-fi drum loops and sample-based found sounds.
