Filed under: News AP Photo | Getty Images Likeability is a mysterious formula to nail down. When you have it, it's like lightning in a bottle, and when you don't, well people just don't really like you. Mitt Romney learned this the hard way when he attempted to follow in the musical footsteps of President Barack Obama, who recently wowed an audience with his rendition of [...]

For those who don't know, our president is trill as fuck. At a fundraiser yesterday at the legendary Apollo Theater, Barack did his best Al Green impression by singing a snippet of " Let's Stay Together ." Fuck what you heard, Obama can hold a note. I guarantee there wasn't a dry pair of drawlz in the audience after that. Barack needs to stop playing and drop that album. Could you imagine if him and Trey Songz did a " Panty Droppa " Pt. 2? Hoes across the nation would shed tears of joy.

5 Songs is a weekly series where we point out the strange, the grand, and the unique connections between our favorite songs. Let's get weird. Words by Chris There's a fine line between bashing you over the head and cradling your imagination. There's also a blend of seething irony that can make or break a whole vision. An unusual story coming from the always colorful state of Virginia today; apparently a "zombie Obama" shirt used by right-wing/conservative hardcore outfit Head for the Mountains has led to the resignation of a Virginia Republican and earned the scrutiny of the Secret Service. HFTM vocalist Matt Monroe had enlisted an artist to create "zombie Obama" shirts for the band that satirized the "Hope" and "Change" campaign posters of the 2008 election designed by artist Shepard Fairey. The photos presented the president with a gunshot wound which led to problems [...]

Looking back at archives of The Kitchen on the Internet Wayback Machine , I was shocked at how much energy and anger I expended on talking about this war. Over eight and a half years later, now that it's finally over though, I don't even know how I feel. Should I be happy? Is this really a victory? Is it the right decision? What are y'all thoughts?
