Like a quiet supercollider, Frank Ocean released his new video for "Lost" with little fanfare today. There's a definite super 8-quality to the video which follows him on his travels and travails around the world in the summer of 2012 as an up-and-coming performer finally coming into his own. Music Video Round Up For this weeks ‘Music Video Round Up’ we’ve got new videos from The Weeknd, Tyler The Creator, Justin Timberlake, and Wild Nothing. Enjoy
If producers like Clams Casino and The Weekend are impressed, then you know you must be facing a talented artist. That would be the story of Mikky Ekko . He’s one of music’s newbies, earning his first hit with Rihanna on their duet titled “Stay” from her latest album. Ekko just released his own single “Pull me Down” which is produced by Clams Casino. The ready-for-radio pop/r&b/rock tune plays it safe in generality, and you can watch a video for it below. However, if you’d like to hear an [...]

Quite never know what to expect from the Odd Future camp, and even though Frank doesn't carry their rebellious nature, he does indeed share the left-field spirit that makes the world love(hate) them. Blue Whale was released via Franks tumblr, a song that shows the R&B singer, rapping and quite well. Sonically, it appears to be rough, and with the obvious space left on the beat, it's not a far off assumption someone else will be joining Mr. Ocean on this swim with the Blue Whales. S/O CSNW . From the start of “Thinkin’ Bout You” it becomes clear that Frank Ocean is going to re-establish the gooey, soulful vocal runs and stratospheric falsettos of R&B past, saving the genre from becoming rampant with infinitesimal, effects-heavy hook-providers for hip-hop. Throughout Channel Orange , Frank Ocean reclaims what it means to love hopelessly and reflects on the pitfalls of doomed relationships because he doesn’t do relationships on any terms but his own. After Ocean bravely posted a note publicly coming out online, his [...]

FRANK OCEAN’s debut full-length album has just dropped and the man has everyone talking about his smooth vocals, his heart and soul dripped lyrics and the classic R&B grooves. ‘Sweet Life’ comes to us as the third single off the Channel Orange LP. The track swings mid-tempo for much of the song, and gets full with more elements picking up throughout. The track has a masterful hand of its instruments bringing together live and electronic sounds creating these blissful electro-soul grooves. The man is also [...]
Frank Ocean may be in hot water with Target for releasing his album Channel Orange on iTunes before its planned drop date. Unfortunately for Target shoppers, the physical disc the retailer says they won't stock ... read more

In the course of about a week, Frank Ocean has gone from relative background member of L.A. rap collective Odd Future to the world's most famous R&B singer. And the reason? Well, in case you don't know already, we'll get to that later. First, let's start with Ocean's just-released debut album, Channel Orange, which is the real reason why his should be the first name on everyone's lips right now. The highly anticipated Channel Orange has come at a perfect time; much of mainstream R&B music feels manufactured, uninspiring, and stale. Electronic sounds are [...]
Frank Ocean's second album, Channel Orange comes out next week, but the Odd Future crooner has already made it available for streaming online - as well as digital download from tonight. You can hear the full album below, including the criminally cut-short 'White' featuring John Mayer.
Prepare to grab it tonight! Frank Ocean has announced that his new solo album, Channel Orange, will release tonight via iTunes, so if you're already sick of spinning "Pyramids" and "Sweet Life", things will get all citrus-y tonight. The release of Channel Orange comes a week earlier [...]
R&B singer and Odd Future member Frank Ocean is having a big month. Last week, admitting to having a sexual orientation other than hetero made Frank the subject of numerous articles around the blog-o-sphere, and while I'm skeptical of the placement of this announcement, it is pretty refreshing to finally have a growing acceptance of homosexuality in the hip hop community-or at least a semblance of it. Context aside, this new track to drop from Ocean's forthcoming LP, Channel Orange , is pretty savory, taking cues from both hip hop and classic R&B stars like [...]
Everyone seems to be making a big deal about whether or not Frank Ocean is gay, straight, or bi lately, but I believe it's important to stay away from the gossip side of the Odd Future member's life and focus on what he does best - music. And keeping the subject on that [...]
Rumors that Frank Ocean came out as gay or bisexual on his new album, Channel Orange circulated today, and in a statement posted to his Tumblr, Ocean seems to confirm them. He recounts falling in ... read more

The Internet dropped a new remix a few days ago for Lana Del Rey's track "Blue Jeans." In their usual remix style they simplify and spaceify the original version from Lana Del Rey. It definitely reps The Internet's unique sound that Syd and Matt Martian of Odd Future worked so hard to develop throughout their latest album "Purple Naked Ladies." So far there is no download available for the remix so that may mean it will be apart of something to drop in the near future. Check the latest from the Internet above...
Peep Frank Oceans full live performance at Coachella last Friday above. Any of you that were lucky enough to see this live I am quite jealous of you, not only for seeing Frank but for just being at Coachella in general. There's even appearances from Tyler the Creator as well as music support from BadBadNotGood in the performance. Anyway, check out Frank Ocean's performance above and if you ever get the chance to see him perform live, with or without Odd Future, do it...
