We are delighted to be premiering the video for Dear Georgiana's confectionary, 1960s girl-pop tune, "Wanna Be In Love", which contains just as much sweet nostalgia as her sound. The video features Lauren Balthrop ( Dear Georgiana ) as a girl pining for love in the place where all young girls do their pining - in their poster-for-wallpaper rooms, on their beds, in their cutest outfits, of course. Watch as she croons her candied tune in the visual contexts of four decades - the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s - because the longing-for-love [...]

Honestly, what can I say that I haven’t before; MELODYS ECHO CHAMBER have done it again. This beautifully filmed new clip for ' Some Time Alone, Alone' from her debut self-titled record is utterly gorgeous. The slight slowing of the clip creates a feeling of floating, blends seamlessly with the music. Ms. Prochet wanders through a carnival; riding the carousel, Ferris wheel and that swing-thing-that-I-don’t-kno w-the-name-of-but-it’s-proba bly-my-favourite-ride-ever! She even wins herself a plush toy before running off into the night. Probably my favourite track from her band's latest record, the melody and spaciousness [...]

Wonky disco hypnotists and New York City natives HOLY GHOST bring us a very intriguing time lapse based video for their latest track 'Dumb Disco Ideas'. For some reason the vocals here remind me of WILCO 's Jeff Tweedy, kind of sounds like a funkified version of the band's song 'Heavy Metal Drummer'. What we get here is that signature DFA RECORDS sound consisting of crunchy, bouncing drum hits complimented by energetic bass and stabbing guitars + of course quirky songwriting and subtle pop hooks. Good on the lads for producing such a beautifully simplistic and [...]

Now that the Groovin’ The Moo tour has wrapped up for another year, the members of TAME IMPALA can return to their various side-projects that usually occupy most of their time. The most popular side project for the Perth boys POND have decided to release a video for their track ‘Giant Tortoise’ which has been getting a hell of a lot of airplay on Triple J . The spacy rock track is clearly depicted on screen as the video begins with some very trippy mirror images before [...]

It’s definitely time to step it up a notch! TWIGS, the unique London-based oddster is certainly rustling the autumn leaves with the release of her forth song ‘How’s That’ . The shapeless form of this track, produced courtesy of Arca challenges the surreal combination of abstract beats and vocals, which string together the many layers of sounds heard throughout this number. TWIGS’ sensual voice is as appealing as ever, giving her latest work a sexual and seductive vibe as she queries repetitively [...]

It's been a couple of years in the making but Glasgow four-piece Three Blind Wolves are finally set to release their debut album, Hallelujah For The Old Machine, on May 27th. Compared in the past to the likes of Modest Mouse and Bright Eyes , the four-piece take those influences and throw a weight of rollicking Scottish-folk in to the mix, creating a big and bold record that's completely of its own making. A couple of weeks ahead of its release, we're very [...]

VAMPIRE WEEKEND have adopted an interesting way of posting videos for their new tracks recently. If you all remember their video for ‘Diane Young’, the video was of a burning car. The track of course was catchy and poppy, really what we’ve come to love from VAMPIRE WEEKEND but the video, interesting, simple, with a burning car. The Brooklyn boys have now released a video for their second single taken from their album Modern Vampires Of The City ‘Ya Hey’. This video yet again is fairly simple. There are [...]

Post-punk four-piece SAVAGES have been the talk of the London live scene for the best part of 18 months, captivating audiences with their intense stage performances. Now the release of their debut LP, Silence Yourself is upon us. While the UK music press whip hype levels into overdrive, the consensus - even from the sceptics, jaded at guitar band buzz cycles that have raised all too many false dawns - is that this is not a drill. This time, we're getting the real deal. Gemma Thompson, Fay Milton, Ayse [...]

We've done this kind of thing before with the dudes from REPTILE YOUTH , but it seems they keep on coming back for more. This time around, we have the AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE of the brand new clip for their latest single 'Fear'. They're definitely not new to the video clip game, as we only just brought you the clip for 'Morning Sun' last week. And even though every video they [...]

SOHN , Vienna-based British expat, is an artist to watch in 2013. We’re proud to unveil the official music video for ‘Bloodflows’. We bet it’ll get your blood-flowing for all the right reasons. Bravo to Italian artist Christian Pitschi who directed and filmed SOHN’s , ‘Bloodflows’. Set in the Bavarian Alps, the video presents a single woman (Munich-based actress Nadja Langer ) standing against various undeniably beautiful backdrops looking lonely and isolated. The video accompanies lyrics like “My love, my love, my love don’t love me” [...]

What happens when two young male DJs get together? They line up 25 pieces of freshly sandpapered toast for a domino effect around the kitchen table of course! It’s not some kind of music joke but part of the peek into A-TRAK and TOMMY TRASH ’s new music video for ‘Tuna Melt’. The combination of Canadian ( A-Trak ) and Australian ( Trash ) quirkiness ramps up the video into something completely different for a dance track. A four-minute overly complex contraption follows a chain reaction of all sorts of objects [...]
As if their debut album Welcome Reality wasn't cinematic enough, Nero have concocted a haunting, orchestral composition for Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic, The Great Gatsby . "Into The Past" is a gorgeously dark production, making use of foreboding reverb, sparsely placed kicks and snares, and ethereal vocals from Alana Watson to craft quite the visceral experience. When combined with the emotional absorption of a full-feature blockbuster, the power of Nero's "Into the Past" on the big screen will undoubtedly be cathartic. The official soundtrack for The Great Gatsby is due out May 7th on Interscope [...]

Lazerdisk Party Sex has 2 new tracks that have been released within the last few weeks. It's always a pleasure to listen to their new music. No matter the genre they're producing, all of their tracks always have that certain groovy feel to it, where you just can't help but to dance. Their latest releases include an official remix for Steve Aoki, and a fun edit of Schlacthofbronx. Steve Aoki's "Ooh (Lazerdisk Party Sex Remix)" is full of electronic swing from the live drum feel to Lazerdisk classic electronic bleeps. Schlacthofbronx's "Apizaco (Lazerdisk Party Sex Edit)" shows the fun [...]

Ron Flieger helps us kick the weekend off on the right note with his brand new remix of Metric's Stadium Love . Following hugely successful official work for both Ladyhawke and Foster The People, we've come to expect great things from the German producer, and that's exactly what we get here. He's done a killer mix on the original, keeping Emily Haines vocals at the forefront while adding in a crisp electro beat to back them up. Make sure you add this one to those weekend playlists. Happy Friday everybody! DOWNLOAD [...]

You've probably heard at least a portion of the track by now, but the official version of "Get Lucky" from Daft Punk is available now. The track is pure funk and pretty much perfect, but what else would you expect from a collaboration between Daft Punk, Nile Rogers, and Pharrell Williams? "Get Lucky" serves as the first official single from Random Access Memories (May 21). You can download the track via iTunes NOW .

Hailing from Copenhagen, the eclectic four-piece that is REPTILE YOUTH have made their worldwide debut with the release of their debut self-titled LP. They tend to be notorious for creating videos that are generally not socially acceptable to see someone watching on their Macbook in the middle of a public library, or at a busy coffee shop. What essentially is the sound of sunshine and dance fused into one obedient mass, REPTILE YOUTH are continuing with the production of their ever-catchy lyrics, hooks and oh so splendid riffs. The [...]
