Prior to the April 6 NCAA Final Four match, Muse performed The 2nd Law single "Madness" to a crowd gathered at Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park. While the song's official video featured armed police, frontman Matt Bellamy kept the mood light as he leaned in toward the camera, showing off his lyric-displaying sunglasses. While Muse performed "Madness" early on, a mix board generator lost power as the band performed "Follow Me," resulting in 15 minutes of silence. Avril Lavigne has offered a sneak peek of her "Here's to Never Growing Up" lyric video, out April 9. Last night (April 5), J. Cole dropped in on Miguel 's Barclays Center performance in Brooklyn, so the two of them could perform his new single  "Power Trip" live for the first time. Cole was calm but engaging, while Miguel leaped into action and even chimed in on the rapper's lyrics. J. Tyler, the Creator made his  Late Show debut Thursday (April 4), and it might be our favorite television performance so far this year. The young provacateur did  Wolf cut "Rusty" with his Odd Future cohorts Earl Sweatshirt and Domo Genesis . And it's great for several reasons. Bruno Mars stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (April 3) to play his latest smash, the breakup song "When I Was Your Man." It's the most subdued offering on Unorthodox Jukebox , and the singer gave it a fittingly delicate setup for this take: just Bruno, a piano and a whole lot of emoting. It all earned him a standing O from the faithful Ellen fans — we don't know if this a common occurrence on her show, because aren't they standing up and dancing half the time [...]

The Voice Blind Auditions wrap up their second week, and the coaches have begun to rub off on one another. Adam Levine is starting to sit with one leg up like Usher , Shakira is brewing up a rivalry with Adam a la Blake Shelton , and Usher is using the "I turned around first!" appeal first popularized by Blake. R&B polymath Janelle Monae stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon  Monday night (April 1) to perform a cover of Jimi Hendrix 's "Little Wing" with The Roots . It's arguably Jimi's most beautiful song, and Janelle certainly did it justice with her fire and ice take (she was the ice, guitarist Kellindo Parker was the fire). Not only do the Blind Auditions have tragic back stories, returning contestants and even former (almost) Olympians,  the coaches on The Voice are like wayyyy more famous than college basketball coaches. Hot Chelle Rae has released a music video for "Hung Up," their latest single off their third album. In the PR Brown -directed clip set in Los Angeles, all four band members attempt to approach one girl, only to have their pursuit thwarted by what appears to be a technical malfunction. "Hung Up" follows Hot Chelle Rae's sophomore album Whatever and 2012 stint as Demi Lovato 's supporting act during her global tour. Their third album is due out later this year. [...]

Dutch DJ Afrojack has yet to release his debut album, but he already has a storied history with pop.
