Richard James came up with the idea of controlling a 48 piece string section and a 24 strong choir by remote control, using midi controllers, lots of headphones and some remote visual cues, after being commissioned to write some pieces for the European culture congress in Poland. In February Phish front man Trey Anastasio will launch his first-ever orchestral tour, which kicks off on February 9 in Atlanta and also includes stops in Pittsburgh (2/14), Denver (2/28) and Los Angeles (3/10). Each performance will be conducted by Scott Dunn and is set to feature "classic Phish songs and solo Anastasio compositions," according to a press release. A 7 piece live dubstep/DnB experience to behold which is good because dubstep, lets face it, is dull as watching tin rust.
