Outside Lands Festival 2011: Sunday Recap, August 14, 2011 in San Francisco, California

San Francisco's Golden Gate Park experienced one last day of the Outside Lands Festival.

Festival Review: CoS at Outside Lands 2011

Festival Review: CoS at Outside Lands 2011 In the 1960s, San Francisco certainly seemed like the place to be. The hippie counterculture movement of that period, specifically in this city, is something that's popular among historians, musicians, politicians, travelers, ramblers, and all in-between. And that's not a surprise… it was a pretty radical time. Many people today often talk about wishing they could time travel to the '60s to spend a day with Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin. Maybe I've just been hanging around too many hippies lately. Outside Lands marked its fourth year by showing that after all this time, San [...]

Music Festival Review: Outside Lands Festival, August 12-14, 2011: Saturday Recap

San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival continues for a second day.

Recap: Outside Lands Festival 2011, Day 2

Every festival has one day where the lineup isn't as good as the others, it's as if the organizers are giving you a breather, well for Outside Lands Festival, that day was day two of the festival. The lineup, of course just in my opinion, wasn't as strong as the first and definitely doesn't look [...]

CoS Festival Survival Guide: Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival

CoS Festival Survival Guide: Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival We're in the latter days of festival season here, folks. Bonnaroo, Coachella, Sasquatch, Pitchfork, Glastonbury, and now Lollapalooza have all passed, and the final summer parties are drawing very close.
