Pacific Coast Highway by Kokayi I wanted to do another instrumental record to follow up 8bit ubermentals. I've always had an affinity for the sea and the left coast feels like my second home. So i thought about every city I've been to along the PCH and the drives I've made up and down that stretch of highway doing gigs in various cities along the route. So here it is a soundtrack for that drive from South to North. California to Washington State. - Kokayi

Words: Gareth O'Malley Here's some more French loveliness for you. This time, we're dipping into some excellent electro house courtesy of Vincent Belorgey , or, as he prefers to be known, Kavinsky . These two songs comprise his first original material in two years, and we're glad to have him back, especially because the A-side, 'Nightcall' is one of his best tracks to date: a mid-tempo synth-drenched 80s throwback that cruises along on effects-laden vocals from Belorgey himself, with none other than SebastiAn behind the mixing desk. There's even an [...]

J'ai déjà parlé de cet EP dans ce billet , pas grand chose à rajouter, juste un avant gout de ce qui vous attend : Kavinsky - Pacific Coast Highway

image: la lune from the eiffel 2006 Got a couple new things at the top of my inbox early this week that just needed a quick "SUP". Let me break it down. New Kavinsky. New Vitalic. Let me start in reverse alphabetical order. Vitalic. He's been on a steady roll lately, amiright? (check here ) This new one off his latest "Second Lives EP" is for the lack of anything better. awesome. It has his very characteristic background reverb with with muted syncopated cymbal percussion -reminiscent of one of [...]
Slow-oozing electro from the French sound purveyor Kavinsky, "Nightcall", is set for release on April 5 along with remixes and B-sides in a slick package. The song, produced by Ed Banger Records's Sebastian and featuring guest vocals from CSS's Lovefoxxx,...

Kavinksy is about to drop his follow-up EP to the cult classic "19863 not only is it great song - it has been produced by one half of Daft Punk, Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo. On top of that the song was mixed down by Sebastian, and there are remixes from Breakbot and Dustin N Guyen (which is apparently Xavier de Rosnay from Justice.) Kavinksy has certainly managed to court every talented Frenchman in Paris to help. You can pre-order the whole limited edition picture disc here . 1. [...]

Fine, I admit it: I had a lot of fun at the Rascal Flatts show. Of course, it had a lot to do with the company I kept (don't let that get to your head, Mark), and the highly entertaining opening act. Would I ever spend half as much money on tickets to a country show as I plan to spend on U2? No. But the cowboys put on a good show, there were enough rednecks for me to laugh at, and I was able to [...]
