While persistent challenges still lay ahead, the city's creative class is hell-bent on making sure that their hometown thrives. Innovative and resilient, they are defining the future of Tokyo on their own terms. We put our boots on and went exploring. Part 2 After The Break... [...]
I can't afford them boots but Palladium did just give us a really sweet documentary hosted by Pharrell who is evidently quite fond of Japan for it's stylo, art, culture, etc. Pretty cool perspectives of the spirit of Japan from artists and musicians. There are 5 parts and a bonus so be sure to peep'em all!
It was Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11, 2011 and a perfect fall day in New England. As if by fate, it was also National Metal Day. It started with Black Sabbath making it's return official - they wouldn't just reform, but create a new album and tour. The icing on this cake was the arrival of one of the most prolific tours that thrash metal could... Read More/Discuss on Metal Underground.com

Cut Copy's Dan Whitford felt compelled to exhort people to dance when the Australian quartet hit the Palladium on Oct. 12, but it wasn't really necessary. The band wove cuts from this year's album "Zonoscope" into a set heavy on selections from 20082s dancier "In Ghost Colours," and the crowd, sufficiently in a tizzy thanks to warm-up sets by Washed Out and Midnight Magic, turned into a sea of shaking bodies. ||| Photos by Laurie Scavo

Erasure The 80s English synthpop duo Erasure made a return to LA at the sold out Hollywood Palladium. Not only did they play their hits "Sometimes," "A Little Respect," "Chains of Love," and "Oh L'amour," their new album Tomorrow's World was well received even though fans haven't memorized all the words yet. Still, it was a full-on dance party. Andy Bell not only shined like a star and entertained the crowd, his vocals were in top form and never wavered. Vince Clark (founding member of Depeche Mode and member of Yaz) kept a [...]

Ep. 481 - Bassnectar @ The Palladium - Hollywood, CA - 09/09/11 I had seen Bassnectar a few times prior to this show and have always been more than impressed. Bassnectar just has a way of reading the crowd and knows how to get a party jumping. The Palladium is one of my favorite venues, so I knew that this show was going to be a special treat. Review - Identity Festival w/ Steve Aoki and Pretty Lights @ The Palladium - 09/04/11 Review - Identity Festival w/ Steve Aoki and Pretty Lights @ The Palladium I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from the Identity Festival . First off, the Identity Festival is the world first traveling EDM fest, and an experiment to say the least. The Los Angeles stop on the Identity Festival was originally slated for the San Manuel Amphitheater, but for one reason or another, the event [...]
We recently announced the cancellation of the Iggy and the Stooges US tour after Iggy Pop broke bones in his foot at the Peninsula Festival in Romania on Saturday, Aug. 27. The Stooges were scheduled to play at the Hollywood...

Palladium is a American boot company that has been manufacturing boots for over 60 years. Recently they enlisted Pharrell Williams to hosts a documentary highlighting struggles of Japan after the 3/11 earthquake. See Parts 2-5 Here "Tokyo faces a new reality after the tragedy of 3/11. The September 4th Identity Festival show originally scheduled to take place at San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernadino has been moved to the Palladium in Hollywood. As of now, no specific reason for the move has been given, but we doubt too many folks will complain as most San Bernadino EDM events usually attract the LA crowd anyway. The official statement reads, "With the holiday weekend commute and traffic expected we decided it was best to be in the thick of Hollywood for IDENTITY in its inaugural year." If you havent bought tickets for the Los Angeles show on September [...]

Ep.474 - Adele @ The Palladium - Hollywood, CA - 08/17/11 I have no other way to start this post besides saying that there is a damn good reason Adele has such a buzz around her, and that reason is an impeccable talent. Looking back at this show and watching video from Adele 's performance at the Palladium I still cant help but have a shiver run through my body. I honestly don't think this show could have been any more [...]

There are a lot of one-liners you can say about an amazing concert. "It was such a small venue I could see the flyaways in her hair." "She sounded just as good as the record." "Every song moved me, even the covers." But these platitudes wouldn't actually capture a night with Adele, the 23-year-old pop sensation from Britain. Adele is the rare performer who prefers playing in smaller venues with smaller revenues, who gets so scared of performing in public she practically throws up before every performance, and who doesn't need spectacle to prove that she's not [...]
