Mexican producing duo The Highweights have outdone themselves creating one of the best remixes of any Passion Pit song we have come across. No Joke. With a wave of technically evolving drum loops, swirls of eargasmic filtered melodies and a bassline that borders into the dubstep, they have taken "Talk a Walk" to incredible new musical height. I can safely say there are very few remixes I like. I've mentioned this in passing when I've posted them up here before and it's even rarer that I come across a remix that I enjoy more than the original. Peking Duk though more than excel in both cases here. I can't say I was blown away by the original of Take A Walk from Passion Pit's new album, which after their debut's success, left me kind of disappointed. American electropop group Passion Pit will be releasing their sophomore album Gossamer July 24th, 2012. As we all anxiously wiggle our thumbs to its marvelous arrival, Canberra-based duo Peking Duk took matter into their own hands enhancing Passion Pit's first single "Take A Walk" to new melodic heights. The added build ups that are intelligent design using the original sound structure, paired with a much pronounced bassline that yet doesn't over power the vocals are refreshing new edits as we await the release of Gossamer .
