Yeasayer is the hot word around Firefly this morning! With Passion Pit's unexpected resignation, the people working hard behind the Firefly Festival acted swiftly to fill the hole and pulled a rabbit it out of the hat. Pitchfork is debuting Passion Pit's latest track, "Constant Conversations" released from the upcoming album, Gossamer . Now, if Pitchfork didn't suck, I would have listened to it there (also, their player seems clogged up currently). Instead, I ended up finding a streamable version on Indie Shuffle - a fantastic website if you aren't familiar. Governors Ball is about as straightforward as a festival can get: two stages, no overlapping sets, and an even split between electronic music on Saturday and alternative rock on Sunday. For its second installation, Gov. Ball relocated to Randalls Island on the upper end of Manhattan from its namesake outpost at the lower, which didn’t affect much in the way of attendance but unfortunately added more of a commute to the festival’s official afterparties at the Brooklyn Bowl (#firstworldproblems). Other than that, however, there was enough space, water, bathrooms, lawn games, and food trucks to keep fussy New Yorkers [...]

Passion Pit 's new single " Take A Walk " is now accompanied by its video debut just released this morning.  The single is the first off of PPs upcoming album titled Gossamer due out on July 24th via Columbia.  So far, only 301 people have watched this video, but 602,000 listens have been made on Soundcloud and liked 8.1K on Facebook.  Be one of the first 400 to have watched it below!
