Premiered on NME, here is Passion Pit's newest release from their upcoming album, Gossamer . In "I'll Be Alright" you won't hear Passion Pit at their most melodic. In fact, I would say it falls closer to their Chuck of Change - EP but with more speed and energy and again... less falsetto. Between the two from the album released so far, "Take A Walk" is decidedly my favorite, but certainly don't dislike this song. I pine for this album and have no idea what to expect after the first two singles.
When Passion Pit drops a single, widespread hysteria follows. When The Highweights (made up of Ivan & Bryan) drop a remix, your feet start moving. Combine the two and we've got one solid remix for you. "Take A Walk", as we've seen via Peking Duk last week , is quite remixable and this version shows. The refrain is heavily studdered and a more melodic approach is taken here.
Shuttle 's last solo project before heading back on tour with Passion Pit is the quirky track you hear below; an unkempt remix of Burning Hotels . While this track is quite unorthodox for many ears out there, it provides a great insight into the rhythms and creativity that is collectively The Passion Pit. Passion Pit's debut album, Manners, was a treat. We liked it so much we named it as one of the best albums of 2009 . Well, now they are back with new single 'Take A Walk', which is taken from their upcoming second album, Gossamer , due out in July. A hook-laden stomper, it sees Passion Pit continue down the dreamy disco pop of Manners, but sees singer Michael Angelakosa draw away from his trademark falsetto. We're excited.
