I know there’s been a lot of Passion Pit posts lately, and there is no sign of them stopping. The group have now remixed Of Monsters and Men gigantic smash, “Little Talks”. This sounds nothing like the original. and is made into a dizzying electronic enchantment. In other words, wonderful. Passion Pit have impressed with their remix work in the past, especially with their Ok Go, “This Too Shall Pass” remix a few years back. Their quickly establishing themselves as one of the go to bands for excellent revisions.
I've heard a few Passion Pit remixes over the years, but this complete reinvention of the indie-folk tune "Little Talks" - from Of Monsters And Men, the creators of TWJ's No. 7 album of 2012 (So Far) - might just take the cake. Icelandic six piece pop folk band and presumably Steinbeck fans, Of Monsters and Men have been getting a lot of attention on the radio and coffee shops for their crowd pleasing hit single "Little Talks," and it seems the song's domination can now extend even to the dance floor, thanks to Passion Pit 's typically driving and bouncy remix treatment.
