• Generationals - Put A Light On

Passion Pit continue their support of last year's Gossamer , dancing through a girl's relationships in the video for "Cry Like a Ghost". That's exactly how directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert described the clip: "The idea is this girl is dancing through her relationships... we're trying to show how messy, confusing, funny, and sad and weird that is." The two employ some pretty cool techniques that make for well-made visual tale. Check it out above along with a making-of video below.

The legend goes that frontman Michael Angelakos recorded the first Passion Pit songs on his laptop as a Valentine’s Day gift to his then-girlfriend. On “Cry Like a Ghost”, the Massachusetts indietronica quintet still haven’t given up on sex, romance and love-sick serenades neatly wrapped as danceable party anthems. "Cry Like A Ghost" confidently grooves with crisp shuffle beats, muscular sub-bass, candied synth bits, spooky Moog leads and Angelakos’ trademark multi-tracked falsetto. Passion Pit viennent de diffuser sur la toile un nouveau clip tiré de leur album « Gossamer ». Cette fois-ci il s'agit de « Cry Like a Ghost », on y retrouve une donzelle torturée qui saute d'homme en homme pour une chorégraphie générale plutôt balèze. Une très bonne réalisation autour de cette nana en pleine psychose qui permet de se pencher de nouveau sur cet excellent second album du groupe.

It;s a good choice for single material too, optimistic and melancholy at the same time, and anthemic too, ElectroPop in that way only Passion Pit can do. The ever-brilliant directing duo DANIELS released their first music video of 2013 today, a visually imaginative dream scene for Passion Pit 's "Cry Like A Ghost". The seemingly one-take clip portrays a girl bouncing like a "pendulum, heartbroken and numb" (as noted by the song lyrics) between her many romantic relationships, featuring some of the innovative dancing effects that DANIELS created for their very first music, FM Belfast's " Underwear ".

Passion Pit returns with another video, this time for their song "Cry Like A Ghost," off their most recent and excellent record, Gossamer . If you have not explored or purchased that record yet, you are missing out and should probably get on that. Anyway, the visual depicts a woman who ends up reflecting on her past, which features her in some situations with different males.
