Passion Pit delivers a new set of visuals for "Cry Like a Ghost," their latest cut off Gossamer . The video features a girl in a dream-like sequence who, as the directors describe, is "dancing through her relationships" in an attempt to show "how messy, confusing, funny, and sad and weird that is." In standard Passion Pit fashion, it's a unique and interesting take on the typical love-story music video. Watch the clip above. ( P4K )

The directing team of Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known collectively as DANIELS , are among the brightest and most reliable entities making music videos today, and their new video for Passion Pit's Gossamer cut "Cry Like A Ghost" plays out like an extended regretful fever dream. The clip tells the story of a girl, running crying by herself through the woods and flashing back on past romances - the twist being that all those romances blur together into one vast Step Up -esque dance number. The two videos I liked best this week are about reintroducing superstars: One who's been away for a while, one who's barely taken enough time off for anyone to notice it's been a year since he dropped an album. And both are heavy on old-school music-video values: Expert rhythmic editing, implied sex, the goofily in-charge charisma of their two leads. One goes self-effacing and the other goes over-the-top slick, but they still scratch the same itches. Here's the official video for the amazing Passion Pit 's "Carried Away," taken from their "Gossamer" LP released last year.  Honestly it is still being played on repeat here at Golden Scissors.
