Paw Paw is the palpably celestial, drone-heavy solo project by Woodsman drummer Eston Lathrop. After a slew of digital releases, dropped over the course of the last two years via bandcamp , Brooklyn imprint Fire Talk is going to release the 16-track double cassette Temporalis / Epiphysis next month. Last year I premiered a track from Thousand Owl , a side project from Eston (one of the drummers in Woodsman). This year, Eston has readied a new EP for release, titled Dream State . Even though Eston's projects has changed names over the last year, Paw Paw is the one he seems settled on. There seemed to be a lot more older punks in attendance which made sense since former Avail frontman Tim Barry was the main performer.
